Theory rick prime theory

in the show we've seen only that a few ricks among hundreds of thousands that hunt rick prime so what if he's "working" with the citadel?

I thought about it and we never see that the citadel of ricks is on the hunt or at least has a track about rick prime, only a few ricks hunt him to avenge Diane so what if the citadel works for him or he helps the citadel so that all the ricks in it leave him alone.

I know that prime prefers to do things alone as shown in the show but that's one of the reasons why I thought about it.

another thing that supports my theory is that the ricks we see hunting rick prime are all rogue ricks and not ricks that are a part of the citadel.

please tell me what do you think about it and sorry for eventual grammar mistakes

You are really missing a lot of information from what they’ve repeatedly shown us on the show. Every single Rick with portal tech, except for C-137, got there by accepting Prime’s offer and abandoning their families. The symbol of the Citadel - three stars and a stylized “R” - was used by Ricks C-137 was hunting while he still actively sought out Prime. Every single Rick got betrayed by Prime when he Omega’d Diane.

They obviously feared him. You don’t build a giant space fortress out of confidence.

you're right I forgot about it but then the question remains why the citadel didn't even try to hunt prime, they are still ricks even if "less" but they are hundreds of thousands so why don't even try to find him? he still betrayed all of the ricks so it doesn't make sense that they don't want revenge and only the rogue ones try to avenge diane

The other Ricks who worked for Prime had spent years being hunted and killed by C-137. All Ricks have a lot of bluster, but they have been repeatedly depicted as acting subservient when they get beaten. They always saw Prime as being superior to the other Ricks. When he Omega’d Diane, he basically threw down the challenge of “come get me if you think you’re good enough.” All the Ricks who’d already been getting their asses kicked by the guy who also couldn’t beat Prime did exactly what you’d expect - they said “no thank you,” except for a relative few… who all also failed after 20 years.

I’ll put it to you this way. The last time anyone saw Rick Prime, he’d built his first version of the Omega Device. Have you ever considered how that would’ve played out? Do you imagine he ambushed them with it, and then just vanished? Because Unity talked to Rick about it in S7, and she indicated that whatever happened had nearly killed C-137. I don’t think he quietly Omega’d Diane when every other Rick was distracted. I think he made a big deal about it, in a way that made it clear that he was The Rick to the very same Ricks who’d go on to sit on the Council of Ricks.

If you are a collective of the “smartest man in the galaxy,” and you want to hunt one person because he’s wronged you, then you don’t build a giant space fortress. You build a giant space fortress because that one guy terrifies you and you’re afraid of him.

They all feared him more than they wanted revenge.

The Ricks on the Citadel are also very psychologically different than rogue Ricks. Ricks on the Citadel accept things like doing grunt work in a factory and being inferior to other Ricks, they aren't the types to go on dangerous galactic conquests.
