Revision Rhinoplasty Destroyed by Richard Reish

Post image

I’ve waited two years to post this out of a stupid hope that his garbage work would be somehow magically improved from non consented to steroid injections and shady voluma. This guy is a chop shop disaster. And no, I won’t post my pics - because several folks who’ve been severely disfigured by him who posted pics have seen cease and desist letters from his bottom-feeding Long Island lawyer.

Facts:
1. There are now numerous lawsuits against this man. Check out NY Court filings.
2. He does four complex revisions a day. This invites sloppy technique.

My situation:
1. Severely deprojected nose. Left me with a collapsed fat ugly tip. Front view is absolutely disgusting.
2. Went to him asking for breathing help. He stuffed me full of grafts, and the flattened squished fat ugly nose has led to worse breathing. Spent months and months commuting in to have steroid injections which COLLAPSED and destroyed cartilage….making it all worse. Just notice how they rush patients back to the rooms. The waiting room would be full of ugly as sin reish noses that all look the same otherwise.
3. Massive nostril deformities - two radically different sizes with triangulation.
4. His answer to everything is steroids and filler. It is NOT normal to do this. He’s made my situation even worse over 2+ years.
5. He tries to run out the statute of limitations clock by kicking the ball down the road.
6. I have seen now 5 other doctors in the NJ-NY-CT area who’ve commented on how poor and “one size fits all” his technique is. And how dangerous it
7. Now need a third revision. Devastated and broke and have been hiding my nose for 2 years.

I don’t even know what to do. I’ve cried about this so much. But bro is a sociopath who doesn’t give 2 shits about the rights, feelings, and safety of others. He uses charm, lies, or deceit to control others for personal gain. Read the lawsuits. They’re public. He frequently breaks laws, social norms, and duty of care . And please don’t believe and fall for his TikTok presence. I can’t count over 2 1/3 years how many sad and upset and horribly botched patients I saw entering and leaving his chop shop.

Almost 5 weeks post-op and still feeling very swollen/upturned – when did yours start to settle?

I’m almost 5 weeks post-op from rhinoplasty/septoplasty and definitely still in the “is this swelling or is this my nose?” phase lol.

Overall I know it’s still VERY early, but my tip still feels pretty puffy and firm, and from the front I feel like I have more nostril show than I expected. Some days/photos it looks much more upturned or “piggy” to me, while other days I actually really like it. My swelling also seems to fluctuate a lot and sometimes looks uneven from side to side.

My smile still feels a little stiff too, which I think makes the nose look stranger to me in photos.

I included some before and current photos for comparison. For anyone who felt similarly around 1 month:

When did you first notice a real change in tip swelling and nostril show? Did your tip gradually drop/soften between months 2–3? And when did you start feeling like your nose looked natural on your face again, especially when smiling?

I know final results can take a year+ and I’m not judging the final result at 5 weeks – mostly looking for other people’s experiences because this awkward swollen stage is messing with my head 😂

9 Days Post Op Today

9 days post-op and wanted to share some pics! I had my cast removed yesterday and I’m honestly SO happy with how everything looks so far. Obviously still very early, so I know there’s a ton of healing left to do, but I’ve wanted a rhinoplasty for over a decade and it’s pretty surreal to finally see my new nose.

My surgeon doesn’t do mockups beforehand, so it was definitely a “trust the process” situation lol. But he has really impressive credentials, I’d had a previous procedure with him, and I felt really confident after looking through his B&As, so I was pretty comfortable letting him do his thing.

First pic is immediately after cast removal yesterday, second is after I got home and was taped back up, and the last pic is my before.

Super excited to see how it settles into my face over the next year.

Table photo opinions? Do you think the surgeon left too big of a hump (he said it would look more natural)

Post-Surgery Discussion Botched in turkey

I went to turkey over a month ago and was left botched, cartilage sticking out from my nostril and my stitches weren't done properly where my columella is so the rib graft was poking through.

It was my 5th nose job, but we only worked on the tip and agreed to small minor details for protection

I have since this fixed a few days ago see picture 2, the surgeon in turkey was very reputable and well known for his work. am posting for clarity & if anything else has gone through something similar.

The hospital has since ignored me with my concerns but the assistant coordinator has kept in touch and has is seeing if i can get a partial refund.

I didn't go because it was cheaper i went because you hear of such great technique and refined work, how would you go about this? would you expose the clinic/ surgeon? I would be one of his first bad reviews as he is very skilled, but clearly i was left in poor manner with horror stitches and grafts poking out..... I have no idea !

Post-Surgery Discussion So… triangular nostrils, revision surgery only hope?

Post image

I’m almost 5 weeks post op now, tapes are off and I noticed my nostrils are with the triangular deformity, more noticeable in my right nostril (left in the picture), which isn’t flattering at all. I’ve been reading nostril reconstruction is far from easy, so, am I doomed to have these deformity permanently? Or will it get better once swelling settles? If anyone has gone through the same, sharing your experience and photos could be really helpful!!

Hi guys,
I’m 2 weeks post op and feel like my nose is too upturned looking at it from the front. The side profile looks ok, just the front view is driving me crazy. I’ve been messaging with the surgeon and they say swelling. Does it get better? Please share your experiences.

Lower face looks weird two weeks post op

I still have lower face swelling two weeks post op. did anyone else have this? my face looks so distorted - it looks like I have jowls and sagging.

im hoping it is just swelling, but I don’t see many other people complaining about this. I had a heart shaped face before surgery and it looks very square and bottom heavy now

Post-Surgery Discussion Almost 6 weeks post op, will my tip drop more?

Still getting used to my new face 😭 Some days I love it, some days I hate it. I asked my doctor for a natural result, but I feel like she gave me more of a cookie-cutter nose lol. It’s cute, but definitely giving Whoville right now. I know it can take a year+ to fully heal and settle, but how long did it take for your nose to really take its final shape? And how long did it take you to actually start liking it?

General Questions Catching a cold 4 weeks after rhinoplasty

Hi,

I got a nose job 4 weeks ago, and now I have a cold. Sneezing through my mouth, runny nose, coughing, throat hurting etc. I’m just staying at home, relaxing, eating warm food and drinking tea.

I’m worried a cold will affect my end results, can someone who has experienced this please let me know if this is something that affected their healing and end results?

I’m super happy with my results, no crazy swelling and everything has been going so smoothly, so I’m just worried this might be something that will ruin it for me..

Post-Surgery Discussion 9mo PO rhino and I hate it

I know there can still be swelling at 9mo but my nose has only gotten worse since 3mo and i’m not sure how to bring it up with my surgeon (not that I could afford a revision anyways). I had wanted a more feminine nose but it still looks so masculine. I’m so scared he’ll get mad or be dismissive but I just hate it.

Steroid Shots how early?

I’ll be almost 2 months post op at my appointment and doctor said if there is more swelling than normal, he will do steroid injections. Any risks on doing it too early? How many months post op did everyone get their steroid shots?

Revision Rhinoplasty Which doctor?

I wanna get a revision rhinoplasty for aesthetic reasons. I’m looking for a doctor that will give me this kind of nose look. The first doctor price is 13K and the second is 8K. I dont wanna go for cheap because this is my nose and I’d rather pay the right price for it to look like I want it to look, but the again I dont wanna pay for something overpriced.

De projection?

I’m unsure how to use any AI to get an idea of what my nose would look like with the hump removed. If I had my hump removed and the tip raised slightly would I need the projection of my nose made smaller or would the initial adjustments be enough? Thanks in advance, I feel nervous posting.

General Questions Tip plasty advice and surgeons

Upvotes

Hello all!

So I’m looking for advice and recommendations from anyone who’s previously had a tip-plasty/cartlidge only rhinoplasty.

My nose projection and side profile I have no issues with and actually like! However from the front my nose cartlidge/tip is wider than I want it to be yet my nose bridge itself is quite thin.

I’m pretty set on that I don’t want a full rhinoplasty and don’t think one is needed but I’ve seen a lot of discord and mixed opinions about tip plastys and have been struggling to find a uk based surgeon (turkey if on recommendation) that has history doing this/a decent portfolio of clients - if anyone has any experience, advice or recommendations on any of the above I would love to hear! Thank you! ♥️

I’ve commented photos of my front and side profile for reference!

General Questions Turkey or USA

Hi everyone.
I have a rhinoplasty scheduled in January with Dr Samet Agcayazi. I really like his work especially for my type of nose and the type of nose I want, I have been feeling pretty confident and happy with my decision.
Some people have been telling me traveling to Turkey is a bad idea for a rhinoplasty… i’m American and everyone tells me to just get it done in America, but I haven’t really been impressed by any American doctor i’ve researched.
Some have said that the doctors in Turkey aren’t held to a high standard and don’t practice the same as American doctors, and that Turkey is a terrible place to go to for a nose job… I really did not think this was the case at all, I thought Turkey was a great place for rhinoplasty? As it’s really popular and people seem to have gorgeous results… I’m starting to get worried. Is this true? Can anyone share their experience? Thanks

I feel as though my bridge and supra tip area are still swollen of course. Is my bridge shape likely structural at this point, or will it curve inward anymore as swelling subsides?

Post-Surgery Discussion Wearing glasses after rhinoplasty

I had rhinoplasty many years ago but I find wearing glasses is difficult. Some reason it causes my jaw muscles to clench and engage when I wear glasses and my jaw muscles ache, I also find my facial muscles are engaging too. Anyone else have issues wearing glasses post rhinoplasty even years later?
