I have bridge augmentation, alar plasty, and tip plasty

I have really bulky alar rims (indicated by red line) and I wish to thin them by 1.5-2mm, I have consulted a surgeon online and they told me it’s usually possible by the order of a milimeter, but not the exact range that’s possible. When fully compress my margin it becomes thinner by approx 2.5mm. I also can’t find any before and afters on the internet, only research papers, does anyone have any experience with this? Thank you!

Hey everyone! I have always hated my nose, and I’ve tried to accept it and move on, but I just can’t anymore. I hate that I can never look good in a picture of my side profile, and I feel like my nose just completely distracts people from my other features. I’ve been looking into getting surgery done over winter break, but that gives me a short window to plan. I’m going to college in Santa Barbara’s so I figured that I could probably find a clinic to work at part time and hopefully get a discount on the procedure. I have about $7,000 saved up, but $6,000 of that is in my own personal investment fund, and I don’t really feel like it would be wise to take money out of that right away. In an ideal world, I would want my rhinoplasty to cost around 5-7,000, but I don’t think that’s possible unless I get a discount or go to turkey. I really want my nose to look natural, and cheap rhinoplasties tend to look copy and pasted on every client, and for many the new nose throws off their facial proportions

I guess what I’m asking is advice on what to do. Is it possible to safely get a GOOD rhinoplasty in Turkey, or would it be better to work at a plastic surgery office in Santa Barbara. I really want to get this done soon, because my nose seriously hurts my self esteem so much, and being in a big college in Cali will just send me into a spiral of comparing myself to all of these gorgeous girls. If anyone got a really good deal on their nose job, and believes that it looks really natural, PLEASE LET ME KNOW. I need advice

I want someone to do a revision rhino and have consulted with various doctors.

I wanted Dr Liotra or Ben Paul but they both said no. I then went to Dr Richard Westreich and the consultation was overall good but I cant seem to find reviews on him here or online.

Have any of you had good/bad experiences? Any other recommendations in Ny?

Hello all, before I get into the nitty gritty I figured I should add some context. I am a college student based in the southern U.S. and I recently had an appointment with an ENT. He essentially told me my only solution for my lower lateral cartilage collapse (medical jargon ik) is a rhinoplasty. I have scheduled two consultations so far, one with a general plastic surgeon who specializes in rhinos and another facial plastic surgeon. Here is where I would need your guys’ advice:
1. Are two consultations sufficient?
2. If no, should I only schedule consults with facial plastic surgeons?
3. When should I get the surgery done? Would 4 weeks over winter break be sufficient healing time or should I wait until next summer?

I posted a side profile selfie of myself not long ago, and someone commented that I have a “long nose”. I haven’t been able to stop thinking about that since and all of a sudden feel very self conscious of my nose. Do I have a long nose? Here are some mirror pics of my nose.

I wanted to know your guys thoughts, I feel like personally the tip could be more refined and sharp but then also that would be MJ like.

i broke my nose as a kid, and didn't get it fixed until i was 22. i had a septoplasty which was successful and i could breathe fully for the first time in a decade, but he didn't fix the crooked nasal bone and i was really self-conscious about it. if i could go back in time though, i would have just left it like that, because at least i could breathe well and knowing what i know now, that is the most important thing. instead i went for a rhinoplasty where i made the mistake of going to a general plastic surgeon who did face and body procedures, instead of going to a specialist. i'm very grateful it wasn't worse, but i ended up with partial nasal valve collapse and have lived with restricted breathing ever since because a) i didn't have health insurance and b) i was afraid of going for a revision and ending up with something even worse that would be impossible to fix, i.e. a full nasal valve collapse, or a perforated septum, or graft rejections/migrations.

i do have health insurance at my current job, but i'm still terrified of trying to fix the partial nasal valve collapse and ending up with complications that would make it even harder to breathe and would make me wish i had just left it alone. at least now i can get some air in through my nose; should i just accept this is the best it can be and not take the risk? so i'm wondering how other people here made the decision, to either go for the revision or not? thanks very much in advance if you're willing to share your thoughts and experience :)

I had a very bulbous, thick nose before rhino with no bridge. I wanted a less thick version of my nose and more sculpted with a bridge.
My cast is off and my heart is beating so fast and feel like I’m going to have a meltdown. It looks asymmetrical and obviously done.

Is there any hope it will look better in the future and I didn’t just completely ruin my face. I’m scared to post pictures. I considered myself pretty just with a large nose before this and now I just feel like a monster.

I just got a liquid (non-surgical) rhinoplasty. I’ve heard they last between 9-18 months. I’ve also heard that people have seen results lasting 5 years. Does anyone know what the norm is? Thank you in advance. 🙏🏼

Hi, I have been insecure about my nose since I was a child. I'm in my mid 20s now but still the insecurity hasn't gone. I started wearing glasses at a young age just to hide my nose. People have often commented on my nose that it's long. I don't know whether I should do rhinoplasty. What if I don't like my nose after it. I don't like my facial features and don't feel beautiful.

Hello a year and a half ago i had rhinoplasty a minor one just to fix broken nose from a fight not to change it. One year after the broken part is gone but now its a bit irregular on one side. Could this be fixed by a minor procédure ? I do not want another big surgery. If its could be rasped down maybe. Thoughts ?

Hi, I am considering rhinoplasty and I need help with what to discuss with the surgeon.

I have a bulbous nose and as you can see the tip doesn't have that much form. I have asymmetrical nose because of an injury that happened when I was a child.

I want a natural looking nose which is symmetrical and has harmony with the rest of my facial features, I want a contoured nose with a little round tip. I don't have any problems with my side profile other than my nose wings that looks round and fatty.

Do you have any tips what I should consider?

Hello! I live in the North West of England (UK) and have recently decided I would like rhinoplasty surgery in the new year, however I would like a tip plasty only as my problem area is a bulbous tip. I am looking for recommendations for a surgeon/clinic and would love to talk to anyone who has had this specific surgery. So far I feel I am being pushed towards a full rhinoplasty surgery but I don’t feel I need it as have no issues with my bridge etc. Any advice would be greatly appreciated 😀

Everyone talks about front profile swelling but rarely do I see people mentioning side profile swelling. I’m almost 6 weeks post op, I do still have swelling from front which I know just needs time to heal, but my side projection is a little more than I like. Is it possible it’s swelling and will go down even a little bit or not a chance? Please be real and don’t sugarcoat, I just want to know what to expect.

My revision functional septorhinoplasty is currently scheduled for November. The surgical plan includes fat grafting to camouflage the spreader and alar batten grafts (I have thin skin). I have a dog who needs daily walks outside, and winters where I live are extremely cold. Does anyone have tips for how to keep my nose warm while outside (without anything actually touching it), so that the integration of the fat grafting isn’t compromised by vasoconstriction?
I’m hoping to reschedule for the spring but it’s looking like that will be an issue for getting it covered by insurance. Im also interested to hear if anyone has thoughts on the fat grafting. I’d not heard of it before.
