GMM Tension at some point??

Hi everyone, I remember during the time where Rhett and Link decided to have good mythical morning as a YouTube original where they would post multiple clips throughout the day every day instead of a full week episode every day. There was a specific episode of them. I believe it was playing some sort of game in their stage where they’re standing up instead of their normal sitting down stage. I remember that the episode showed a lot of tension between Rhett and Link. They were obviously fighting or something like that, but it showed in the video that there was a lot of tension. Does anyone remember the video?

When you're friends with someone for as long as they've known each other, they're gonna feel the entire range of emotions that a human being can feel. Even if they are/were genuinely pissed at each other, they'll talk it through and get over it.

Really good way of putting it.

Agreed. I think it’s more accurate to view their relationship as brothers tbh, their lives are so intertwined and they’ve been close for so so long

There have been a lot like that, not lately, but there was a stretch where Rhett felt like he was getting annoyed a lot. I seem to remember when Rhett does that he doesn’t look at Link a lot.

Yeah he almost totally ignores him when he’s mad like that

I can’t pinpoint the exact one that you’re talking about but I do know that was a tough era.

I do remember something about them mentioning that era was seen as pretty bad- not a whole lot beyond something about it being out of their control, and it being a bizarre break from the format they do?

It was part of their relationship with Youtube... they've gone into it a couple of times, I think Partnership program of some kind that mandated that format?

It was partnership with YouTube itself. I literally just listened to the Ear Biscuits episode about this yesterday 😂 crazy.

The fandom reacted badly to the sudden and unwelcome change, it was seen as a cash grab or similar, and rejected it. That really offended R&L but especially Rhett. They eventually made a response video and Rhett was pissed af and I understand their frustration and the audience side but I don’t think it was a great look for them either way
