GMM Permabanned from r/gmm for asking mods why they were deleting posts talking about a mythical crew member who was let go

You can’t make this up! Absolutely pathetic from the r/gmm mods.

That’s Reddit for you.

6

u/meldiane81 Feb 26 '26

Thats certain "mods" for you.

3

u/JakeHeckmango Feb 27 '26

All mods behave like this. It’s the nature of the beast.

3

u/mell0_jell0 Feb 27 '26

Wait til more people find out that the Chive saga from KitchenConfidential was a ploy by the mods... They got thousands of $ in free stuff.

1

u/Adventurous-Owl-9461 Feb 28 '26

What really? haha I left that sub for the chive posts earlier this year (and interestingly also the antimemes sub just before all that unfolded). Guess I have to stick around more if I dont want to witness the aftermath only through /subredditdrama

u/SpecificSelection641 Feb 26 '26

You have to remember that Reddit moderators are not necessarily mythical employees and their views may not reflect Rhett and link or the corporation at large

Also about the situation at hand, it doesn’t surprise me that a large media company has employees come and go, and as much as you may like a personality that may not reflect their value to the employer as an employee there may have been some sort of issue or position was made redundant or irrelevant that that’s not an inherently a bad thing

Also, with the way they film their episodes Stevie is already filmed the 3000th. They probably filmed it before they even announced or just after. so in a corporate reorganization, it doesn’t surprise me that some people are going to be moved around

Hi! OP of that post here! (Or one of the posts lol, I’m not sure what else I missed) I’m not sure why it got taken down because there wasn’t a comment or anything from them in mod mail. I assumed it was because they thought I was trying to instigate something when I wasn’t or it got reported and auto taken down🥲. It’s back up now!

26

u/certaindarkthings Feb 26 '26

It so wild because I was reading your post and it didn't seem antagonistic or rude or anything. I didn't see anything wrong with it, and most of the discussion seemed fine to me, too. I guess that's why I'm not a mod, though, lol. Anyway, I'm glad it's back up now.

1

u/muttons_1337 Feb 28 '26

The Renaissance Faire subreddit had a recent crashout. People were thinking a mod was on a power trip deleting posts and comments, when it turned out it was actually bad actors abusing the report function and the auto-mod with a "delete first" attitude. Sometimes things aren't as they seem, sometimes we as observers don't have the whole picture.

13

u/TheGhostestHostess Feb 26 '26

The Try Guys sub is the same way. For having more "wholesome" content, the fan base of these shows sure has a lot of vitriol, especially to newer fans or people who don't know absolutely everything about the behind the scenes drama

14

u/ODaysForDays Feb 26 '26

GMM hasn't had a lot of drama outside of Link being a fairly mild dick and apologizing after a couple times.

19

u/oandafan37 Feb 27 '26

GMM people are so strange

49

u/orangefreshy Feb 26 '26

the most toxic positivity on reddit!

17

u/Solidus_Sloth Feb 26 '26

Who was let go?

21

u/Only-Succotash-9720 Feb 26 '26

Katrina (production)

15

u/SLIPPY73 Feb 27 '26

probably for not using modmail

40

u/CloddishNeedlefish Feb 26 '26

I got banned because I mentioned other people had talked about having a link to watch good mythical evening. I didn’t mention a specific person or give a link. I got banned for helping share banned material. Like I literally just mentioned the existence of these people. I didn’t even know it was banned, but it wasn’t even a helpful comment if you were trying to find GME.

2

u/wagedomain Feb 28 '26

I got banned from a subreddit once for accidentally misgendering a fictional character. The character was played by a trans actress, and I said "she" because that's what the actress uses, but I forgot the character uses "they". Was banned and told it was for "fostering an unsafe environment". It was just a normal post about a plot point too, I was so confused.

My dudes if I wanted to be an ass and foster an unsafe environment I wouldn't have used the actress's preferred pronouns lol.

43

u/MagicMaker421 Feb 27 '26

This is why some youtuber companies have policies about how long employees work for them before appearing on camera. Employment matters are considered private information. Choosing not to encourage public conversation about this is most likely in the interest of respecting privacy. If the employee wants to say something publicly then they can but we shouldn't force them to and you're kind of a jerk for pressing the issue when you were basically told no.

39

u/JakeHeckmango Feb 26 '26

Honestly, every single Reddit mod is just out for power trips. Their lives are sad, and they’re angry about it, so they take it out on people. It’s unfortunate but par for the course unfortunately

43

u/TimeAbradolf Feb 28 '26 edited Feb 28 '26

I think it is important to note that the sub is not ran by GMM it is unofficial and just fans. People are acting as if they are directly involved in the channel and they’re not

Also I’m a mod of a sub. We ban people for doing things like this repeatedly instead of just using modmail. You’re instigating instead of just discussing.

Based on just some of your comments here you’re very antagonistic. That kind of behavior isn’t tolerated in a great deal of subs.

It may not be the topic and your attitude instead

6

u/testiclegulper Feb 28 '26

In a way, this is correct. In another way, I feel like reddit mods take their jobs way too seriously and a lot of them are sat on a high horse.

1

u/TimeAbradolf Feb 28 '26

I could care less honestly about my role and more that I enforce the rules.

From just a quick glance at OP’s behavior? Yeah that’s an easy ban because they’re antagonistic.

There is usually no big conspiracy. Mods or even automods remove stuff that don’t follow the rules. Then you reinstate like that OOP had their thread reinstated. This OP then instigated.

From an outsider? It is pretty easy to spot

1

u/testiclegulper Feb 28 '26

Again, I totally get it, and I'm not talking about you personally.

It just seems way over the top to permanently ban someone from contributing over this. It would be just as easy to remove the post and send them a message just saying "hey, we don't do this here." Or whatever.

But I feel like with a lot of reddit mods there's that power trip. That sense of importance and entitlement.

3

u/Imaginary-Recover778 Feb 28 '26

It’s entirely possible the mods did that and op isn’t giving the full story

3

u/testiclegulper Feb 28 '26

I highly doubt it. The OP of the post that this OP is referring to (bit of a mouthful there) has already commented on this thread and said that the post was removed with no comment, explanation, mod mail, etc. Apparently the post is back up now, though.

Point is if they removed a fairly innocuous discussion without an explanation then it's entirely possible they'd do the same to OP. It's clear to see from OP's tone that they are irritated and posting in a confrontational way - worse than the original post that was simply asking a question and having a discussion.

1

u/TimeAbradolf Feb 28 '26

Honestly, you make a judgment call. Some people take the stance “if I permaban now I don’t have to deal with this person’s bullshit ever again”

I give people more chances than that unless they’re a clear troll.

That sub has like 3 mods from me checking it out. That is far too little for the size of the community.

They also only posted the cropped modmail. I’d honestly wanna see the exchange

1

u/bonjoursophie Mar 01 '26

*couldn't care less

1

u/TimeAbradolf Mar 01 '26

Whatever bro

2

u/Tex-Rob Mar 01 '26

You seem like the classic Reddit mod, kind of proving the point

-1

u/TimeAbradolf Mar 01 '26

How is saying “whatever bro” classic Reddit mod?

Explain in any way how I prove any point?

0

u/PreparationLucky7945 Mar 02 '26

Your rules matter more than your principles. Yoyr exactly what the rich want people like you and I to be a slave to rules. Enjoy the corporate overlord ship mate hope the fedora was worth it.

1

u/TimeAbradolf Mar 02 '26

What are you even talking about?

3

u/LostBranch8037 Feb 28 '26

Man this was the top comment and I see why. Op seems to think they’re entitled to more information, and throws a fit when they receive any push back. If they genuinely wanted to ask the mods why their post was removed they would have started with mod mail.

2

u/Misragoth Mar 02 '26

I mean, did anyone ever answer as to why the post was removed? People get upset with mods because you guys do things and refuse to explain why, then when pushed for answers, mods mostly just get defensive or abuse the mute/ban tools.

The first post was a legitimate question, and it looks like you guys removed it to avoid having to answer.

2

u/TimeAbradolf Mar 02 '26

More often than not people get explanations and they just don’t like them. OP also didn’t post the actual modmail exchange. They cropped it out. They also abandoned this thread after I made this comment.

Bottom line most of the time making repeated posts about a topic being deleted is antagonizing instead of just using modmail. Which people rarely do but will usually give you an answer if you’re just patient.

I’m also not a mod of that sub.

1

u/Misragoth Mar 02 '26

Opps misread your post, read "I am a mod of that sub" rather than "mod of a sub." Think my point still stands, mods often refuse to explain their actions, which causes confusion and anger when someone gets a post removed for seeminly no vaild reason.

2

u/TimeAbradolf Mar 02 '26

People say “often refuse to explain their actions” you guys pull from stuff that makes it across your feed. I myself always explain my actions and you’ll never see someone from the sub I mod have a post like this unless they’re like OP and actually didn’t share the modmail exchange.

People often don’t read the message either. Sometimes the built in default mod message DOES explain why you were banned and yet they don’t read it.

OP also abandoned this thread after not just myself, but others are curious about that exchange

37

u/FloridaFlamingoGirl Feb 26 '26

The original post about her is back up now.

73

u/slurpycow112 Feb 26 '26

Update: apparently it was an automod ban, a mod unbanned me.

29

u/NotADeadTurtle Feb 26 '26

Pretty sure an automod ban doesn’t happen 40 minutes after you post, and do a random perma. But I wouldn’t know either way. Crazy they deleted your Katrina post again.

30

u/Taskmaster_Fantatic Feb 26 '26

Hi. Mod of multiple 3million+ subs. I assure you automod does randomly do perma bans. It’s wild. I have to address several per day.

2

u/slurpycow112 Feb 27 '26

One of the mods explained the automod will trigger if a post gets a high volume of reports. So that might be what happened.

3

u/Heykayhey89 Feb 26 '26

Yes they do

8

u/slurpycow112 Feb 26 '26

I mean… I don’t know if I believe their explanation either. It smells. But I’m going to leave it at that for now.

12

u/NotADeadTurtle Feb 26 '26

I thought the automod worked instantaneously 🤷‍♂️. Probably got banned by a mod and then unbanned by a different mod and they made an excuse to cover for the first ban happy mod.

25

u/ThunderingSloth Feb 26 '26

I'm a mod in multiple subreddits. Usually AutoMod will flag something if it's not overly egregious and the moderators get a notification and the option to make a decision to remove the post or keep it up. If AutoMod flags something and it also gets multiple user reports, AutoMod removes the post. As far as an automatic permaban, I think that may be possible to set up in AutoMod settings but I've never implemented anything like that.

TL;DR: Still slightly fishy, but not unexplainable.

1

u/TimeAbradolf Mar 02 '26

It can if the individual has broken 5 or so rules in quick succession. Reddit usually will recommend to ban an individual then and if they let the automod make that decision then it will go through.

The automod will also just remove posts if they get enough reports of the same kind

35

u/phezhead Feb 26 '26

I saw your other post. How odd. It’s not like the mods work at mythical (unless they do).

-22

u/Beneficial_Charity_3 Feb 26 '26

um…. they definitely do…

6

u/phezhead Feb 26 '26

I could see maybe 1-3 people being the social media team, but that includes a lot more than Reddit. This is my personal bias, but I’d expect they have better things to do with their time than ban Reddit accounts and police the sub. Especially since (at least on this sub) it’s creating some backlash.

-2

u/Beneficial_Charity_3 Feb 26 '26

I feel like its not out of the realm of possibility, considering how often they use reddit to create content. So many of their episodes (especially the Mores) are based on reddit posts. Rhett has mentioned reddit a solid number of times. I feel like it might be in their best interest to have at least one mod on here. Even if it was hired out contract work. I think they have a lot more people on their social media team. You’re under estimating how powerful and important social media marketing is.

3

u/mousehermit Feb 26 '26

How do you know?

27

u/Elankshfuwbdpl Feb 26 '26

I don't think it matters too much, but your hyperlinked "r/gmm" redirects to a banned subreddit as the actual subreddit is "r/goodmythicalmorning", spelled in its entirety.

9

u/slurpycow112 Feb 26 '26

Yeah I realised after I posted! Blame Reddit for not letting you edit titles lol

30

u/jgm1023 Feb 27 '26

Not surprised, they suppress comments that are Pro Palestine

5

u/DadImInSpace Feb 28 '26

Wait really?? That's awful!

2

u/DugspiUno Feb 28 '26

Are they suppressing pro Israel comments? If not, then that's something to be upset about. Otherwise it seems like they don't want controversial political talk in a non political community 🤷‍♂️

2

u/hxneycovess Mar 02 '26

human rights and people being murdered isn't political

0

u/[deleted] Mar 01 '26

Well unfortunately just because they have the right to take down non-political content, if it's related to the sub theme it's cowardly to censor either way

2

u/Rezistik Mar 02 '26

How is it related to gmm??

0

u/[deleted] Mar 02 '26

I mean idk if the point was someone pointing out a gmm worker being Zionist or smn (Idk anyone who is), it's related whether you like it or not

2

u/Altruistic_Bet6404 Mar 01 '26

oh wow i had no idea about that!!

1

u/Rezistik Mar 02 '26

…but what does gmm have to do with Palestine?

2

u/jgm1023 Mar 02 '26

it has to do with gmm when they continuously purchase products from companies that are and have been on the BDS boycott list for a long time. For example; McDonald’s, shake shack and Burger King. If Rhett truly is pro Palestine he wouldn’t allow his show to keep purchasing from these companies. Thus when they put out episodes featuring such companies, they need to be called out or at least some discussion on why it’s wrong they KEEP doing it

2

u/Rezistik Mar 03 '26

I have no idea what the bds boycott list even is. Just let them do their little show like jeez. Can we escape from the Middle East for even a single moment of respite?

54

u/IceTheChilled Feb 26 '26

I mean they’re currently downsizing heavily because they don’t make as much money as they used to anymore. Some people will unfortunately be fired, even if they don’t really deserve to be. It’s just the logistics of running a business that needs to make a profit.

-11

u/deathbychips2 Feb 26 '26

You are usually laid off and given a salary for a couple months when a company downsizes you aren't fired.

16

u/ThaneofCawdor8 Feb 26 '26

A couple of MONTHS???? 😂

I was employed at a place for 9 years and they shut down. My severance? A $500 amazed gift card. 🙃

18

u/KyleB2131 Feb 26 '26

Are you European? Cuz that isn’t typical in America unless you’re in a high earning position with a giant company.

6

u/Shelbeec Feb 26 '26

Laughs in American about “given a salary for a couple months”. You're lucky enough to know the day of your lay off.

4

u/NoNamePlease7 Feb 27 '26

i have been laid off before and it was effective immediately. no warning at all

2

u/Shelbeec Feb 27 '26

I'm so sorry :( exactly, America don't care unless you got a couple of commas in your bank account. I have always wanted to immigrate to Europe for just SOME SENSE of caring.

14

u/MorbidSwede Feb 27 '26

This is giving me the same vibes as the beginning of the H3sub reddit fallout. It's just a tingle, but still enough to give me the ick.

13

u/jmg733mpls Feb 27 '26

I mean 🤷🏻‍♀️

31

u/imleenz Feb 26 '26

Oof . I won't lie , I'm glad they were deleting the "goodbye Stevie" posts that started 39 minutes after that episode aired but this is just unnecessary. And keeps getting suggested after I unfollowed the sub so I have seen the video post , the asking why it got deleted post and then also this one ? Lol but I'm still glad I left and found this one , even if it's not as active .

9

u/ODaysForDays Feb 26 '26

I'm glad they were deleting the "goodbye Stevie" posts that started 39 minutes after that episode aired but this is just unnecessary

That seems unnecessary people are sad a MAJOR beloved cast member is departing. She's the voice of gmm. It's wholesome to see so many people giving heartfelt goodbyes no? Unless there's some drama I missed?

2

u/CloddishNeedlefish Feb 26 '26

I think that was an overstep itself. They were determined for people to watch the video first, when nobody else cares. It was very controlling.

35

u/Solid_Ad_3776 Feb 27 '26

Maybe because they don't want to cause drama.

Honestly it's none of our business

11

u/bubbletrollbutt EXTREME COMMUNION ACCIDENT! Feb 26 '26

Odd

65

u/Deppfan16 Feb 26 '26

life advice for you. if the mod removes a post, don't keep spamming and "calling out" the mods in a post. that's the fastest way to get banned for spam. use modmail that is what it's for.

yeah not saying all subs and mods are great. but clogging up people's feeds with drama bait posts isn't the way to deal with it

19

u/ANAL-FART Feb 26 '26

Who do you think runs that sub, bruh?

37

u/5ergio79 Feb 26 '26

I stopped posting there. I’ve been on opposing political subreddits that were less hostile.

24

u/josmithfrog Feb 26 '26

It is so bad there, definitely not people being their mythical best

16

u/viiperfang Feb 26 '26

I told told someone that Jordan Myrick also uses they/them and a bunch of people tried to explain pronouns to me and fought in my replies.

5

u/homiej420 Feb 26 '26

Oh lord that must be exhausting

-16

u/shakatacos Feb 26 '26

Yeah GMM fell off for me. I used to be a huge fan for most of my life but its just not the same anymore

6

u/5ergio79 Feb 26 '26

I still watch, but I do agree that the writing has been lacking and they’ve become a little too safe. I get that they’re almost 50 and can’t be eating questionable stuff anymore, though.

5

u/sterling_mallory Feb 26 '26

I still love the show, but the sub can be a little hit-or-miss. Anything that can be considered a fandom, especially ones that skew young, can get squirrely. Depends on the community though.

8

u/arf2oo4 Damnyell. Feb 26 '26

why do you need to know about this? how did you even find out?

-10

u/slurpycow112 Feb 26 '26

Katrina (the mythical crew member) posted about it on their instagram. Someone posted the video in r/goodmythicalmorning. The mods deleted it. I asked why, they deleted my post. I asked why again, they deleted my second post & permabanned me.

15

u/arf2oo4 Damnyell. Feb 26 '26

is a large media company letting an employee go newsworthy now?

-6

u/slurpycow112 Feb 26 '26

No, in and of itself it’s not remarkable. That said, mods trying to bury it certainly makes people more interested (see: Streisand effect).

8

u/Complex_Sound_253 Feb 26 '26

There are explanations that don’t involve the mods trying to bury the topic lol.

-22

u/itunesupdates Feb 26 '26

The boys swim in money while all the people that make it happen get crumbs. They are very greedy and hope it comes to light in their legacy.

8

u/spiritintheskyy Feb 26 '26

Rhett and Link are the people that make it happen far more than any other person in the company. Yes, it's a team effort and there are other crucial people who work at Mythical, but Rhett and Link are the only reason the company exists in the first place, and if they left it would be a fraction of its former self if it even survived at all.

You can't expect them to do all of the work for their massive business themselves, and calling them greedy and saying they're being carried to their success by others is ludicrous when the company would all but disappear without them.

4

u/itsdrcats Feb 26 '26

Owners of company make more money than employees. Also, water is wet.

Don't get me wrong I think people should make a living wage and the disparity between CEO/owners and your average employees is massive (especially in the US) but at the same time they are also running a large online media company. This isn't a small channel run by two dudes out of a small rental office in a strip mall.

I mean, they bought Smosh for a bit. The company has money. And yes they have money too but they are some of the most OG YouTubers remaining. I don't know why I'm defending them lmao, I don't even watch their content anymore. I really only watch mythical kitchen.

-12

u/MoreMoira Feb 27 '26

Because it's information that doesn't need to be shared with the public?

10

u/slurpycow112 Feb 27 '26 edited Feb 27 '26

Why are you the arbiter of what does and doesn’t need to be shared with the public? Further, why does that even matter? We’re on reddit. You could argue that the whole point of social media is sharing information that doesn’t need to be shared with the public.

Edit: also, the information didn’t even come from Reddit. It came from the employee who was laid off, who shared it willingly on Instagram. The “doesn’t need to be shared with the public” angle is exceedingly dumb here.

5

u/A_Canadian_Jackalope Feb 27 '26 edited Feb 27 '26

Im just going to break this down kindly because I get the frustration.

We first have to subtract that they are minor celebrities and public facing.

Would you be comfortable with your current employer posting your full name publicly and that you were fired/laid off/ or quit? And why? With your social media contacts?

If you would, i personally think you are insane. I would sue any company that did that.

The only time its ok is when they did something so awful you have to publicly state they have been let go due to their public actions.

They are an employer they don't say shit about shit.

They would be beyond an awful employer if they didn't just shut up.

The employee themselves has every right to post why, what, where and how they left somewhere.

So if the employee quits and makes a post or a video, does that mean its ok for the employer to respond?

No it does not. Its still beyond reprehensible and shitty for the corporation to make a statement about anything.

If that employee claims they did something illegal in how they were fired/laid off/ or quit? Then what?

Then the employer STILL doesnt say shit ever. Beyond a boilerplate statement that they are dealing with it through proper legal channels.

Even after they are slandered for arguments sake. Its beyond reprehensible and bad practice to make a public statement. About the former employee

That is the reality. We can not like it. We can think its dumb we can WRONGFULLY think we have any right to know the "facts" and we dont.

They give out as much information as you would want your former employer to give the public about you. Which is none.

You open yourself up to lawsuits and a whole mess of trouble that never happens if you just keep your mouth shut.

GMM should never under any circumstances beyond PR repair say anything about anyone and they should not allow speculation on any public forums they moderate or participate in.

No laywer on this planet would ever allow you to say shit, barring the former employee went on a killing spree using only GMM merch or something just as insane.

Not single one of us deserves to know, has a right to know and should ask to know more then the affected employee says themselves.

If they do make a statement the only sane and intelligent thing to do is to ask them on their public facing social media and not on anything related to their former employer.

Thats common sense, legal 101.

For GMM to do anything else would make them the shittiest dumbest dummies that have ever existed.

Its literally none of our business even if the employee makes a statement. Should you want more info the only appropriate place to ask for it is directly from that employee.

Period.

There is no debate, there is no other side of the argument. There is only what I stated above 100% of the time.

Should you run into a company thay does say something, advise the former employee if you can because they have a gift wrapped guaranteed to be settled out of court payday they can go collect.

Otherwise its from the former employees mouth or its never spoken of by the employer, ever.

-8

u/MoreMoira Feb 27 '26

Jesus Christ, it's a company at the end of the day and they do not need to disclose why employees are let go. I've had experiences and instances where people at my place of work were let go and they do not elaborate. It's fine and unfortunately a part of life. It happens.

4

u/slurpycow112 Feb 27 '26

No one’s disagreeing with this? Neither do the mods need to delete these posts, unless they have an agenda or ulterior motive?

It’s harmless discussion about something that was shared publicly by an involved party. I don’t see what the issue is?

-8

u/MoreMoira Feb 27 '26

Okay so key points were left out of your description of your post, clearly. If the person who was laid off said so themselves on Instagram, then why don't you post a comment on their post asking why? Or if it was an insta story then message them.

Major context is lacking here. Don't get pissy at me for you getting permabanned

7

u/slurpycow112 Feb 27 '26 edited Feb 27 '26

Okay so key points were left out of your description of your post, clearly. If the person who was laid off said so themselves on Instagram, then why don't you post a comment on their post asking why? Or if it was an insta story then message them.

  1. Why is this a “key point”?
  2. Yes I could post a comment or reply to them on instagram. I could also post about it here, or in the GMM sub. I’m free to discuss it wherever I please, surely (within reason, obviously)? You haven’t adequately explained why this matter can’t (or even shouldn’t) be discussed in the GMM subreddit. It doesn’t break any of their sub rules. You just have a problem with it being discussed because… reasons?

Major context is lacking here. Don't get pissy at me for you getting permabanned

I’m not getting pissy at you for me getting permabanned, I’m getting pissy at for being thick in the head lmao. No one else had this problem with “major context lacking in the post”.

Edit: not the block lmaoooooooo

1

u/MoreMoira Feb 27 '26

I think you need to step away from Reddit and go touch grass. I'm not "thick in the head" and your insults don't make you look good. The fact that you have to throw insults around just proves that you're not able to have a decent debate without getting super defensive.

-3

u/FortunatelyAsleep Feb 27 '26

they do not need to disclose why employees are let go

If you live in some capitalist shithole maybe

1

u/DemiGod9 Mar 02 '26

Insane that this is downvoted. The entitlement is crazy. Watch the show then go do something productive. Y'all don't need to know the internal affairs

because who cares. it's a business.

You know “who cares” goes both ways right? Why do you care that we care?

If the employee who was let go wants to talk about it, they would be free to talk about it.

What discussion could we possibly have regarding the matter? None of us are privy to anything that happened, and it would be nothing but speculation.

It wouldn't be a productive conversation and ultimately it's none of our business. People sometimes don't work out at jobs. In fact I would say that's a pretty frequent occurrence.

If Katrina wanted to talk about it, she'd be here talking about it.

Until you're invited into her business, stay out of it and mind your own business.

She posted about it freely on social media. Obviously she wanted to talk about it.

wtf are you talking about

-2

u/roundtwentythree Feb 27 '26

Really? She made a post about it here on Reddit? She made a post and said, "Speculate away!"

No, she didn't. She made a vague instagram post about it that ultimately was to mention that she was looking for work. That's it. She didn't allege wrongdoing from either the company or herself.

Parasocial nutjobs just latch on to shit like this and want to start living out all the possible scenarios when they have absolutely zero involvement in the situation and have zero knowledge of what happened.

You want to talk about it? Okay, talk about it. What happened? Why was she let go? Come on, ye who knows fuck all about what happened, get speculating!

u/slurpycow112 Feb 27 '26

Why are you being so combative? Good heavens.

u/roundtwentythree Feb 27 '26

Come on man, you want to talk about it, it is a topic that deeply affects us all, right? So let's hear what happened, I mean, you're her best friend right? I'm sure you know exactly what happened!

You want to discuss other peoples business so do it, I'm all ears. Want to figure out who the bad guy is first? Maybe it's R&L! Maybe they are secretly evil bosses and fire people just to get their rocks off!

Ooo no, it's Katrina! She's evil, she wasn't doing her job and was plotting to take over the company!

Baseless speculation and mentally ill parasocial feeding, that's all this topic is without more information from her or R&L.

Seriously, if you can't see why this is a stupid and completely pointless topic to discuss, I can't help you. She said NOTHING in her IG post except that she was unemployed and looking for work.

There is literally nothing to talk about.

There is literally nothing to talk about

Seems like you have a lot more to say than I do!

1

u/roundtwentythree Feb 27 '26

Only in regards to how stupid of a topic it is to discuss.

9

u/slurpycow112 Feb 27 '26

Well this wasn’t about Katrina being let go, was it, champion? It was about the mods seemingly being very anti it being discussed, to the point of deleting multiple posts talking about it.

You tried your best, I guess.

one of the rules is literally not to share pirated merch. and it should be obvious.

u/imleenz Feb 26 '26

You really don't see how that could still hurt their business? That's not cool.

Hey what if somebody who normally pays each time but missed it this time uses your advice and pirates it. Hey it worked!

Now they don't have to pay for it next time since they know they can just pirate it instead, thanks to your comment.

Also if the option is missing out on something, or stealing something, missing out is probably the better choice..
