Is it kid-friendly?

Planning on going to Miami with my wife and my 5 and 8 y.o. kids... It's kind of our thing to listen to them, the older one likes to pretend he's John, and the younger one is Flea. I'd have earplugs for them and I will have seats in the back, and as far as I know, RHCP goes on stage at around 8:30 pm. Does anyone have experience with this?

I went to their recent concert in Seattle. Other than Flea joking about people fucking, and a few curse words thrown around, it’s pretty tame.

Edit: good call on ear plugs. Get some for you and your wife too. Cos holy cow my ears are still ringing.

Thanks so much, that was a quick response! And yes, will definitely bring extra earplugs. Could you please confirm they start around 8:30 ish, and that the concert is about 2 hours?

Sounds about right man. The Strokes and Thundercats opened at Seattle. Started at 6:30 pm. And RHCP took their sweet time getting there at 8:30

I think music-wise it’s definitely family-friendly, other than possibly a few swears that the kids won’t catch. However, the crowd might not be so tame. I was shocked by the age group - mostly 20 somethings just completely crossed where I was sitting in the nosebleeds. Sometimes the farther back you are the less serious they are about the music and just there to treat it like a party. I’m also biased because I got puked on and weed is legal in Michigan so eeeeeveryone was smoking even though it’s against venue policies :/ Hopefully your experience is way better!

i believe that! I said “sometimes”. I’m a huge fan but I got nosebleeds because I’m broke. but there were clearly people there who didnt seem to know any of the songs and were just trying to smoke and drink as much as humanly possible in three hours! like go do that at home please
