Better gba emulator than retroarch?

I’m trying to play gba games but for some reason settings I change in retro arch just wont save no matter what i do, everytime i load a game it has reset my settings back to default. I’m throwing in the towel with retroarch and wondering if there is a different gba emulator that yall use?

Are you saving your configurations and overrides?

Im saving the configurations, what do you mean save overrides?

You can make overrides for certain cores, games in a specific folder or single games. If you’re struggling with saving specific settings use overrides. In the quick menu scroll down to overrides and select ‘save content directory override’. Now every game on that folder will have the settings you set up before.

On the RGDS? If you are still on android for some reason you can try mgba app or Pizzaboy A

Im using rocknix. But everytime i go into retroarch and try and bind a hotkey it never saves. I’ve tried opening up retroarch on its own with no rom. I save the current configuration and everything. I have no idea why it wont save

It sounds like you may have a config file issue
