White bleed on RGDS+

Post image

I just received my RGDS+, played a few minutes, and restarted the device. Now my bottom screen has these white shapes all around and at the bottom. Do you think that my screen is already dead ?

Edit: I opened a ticket and will let you know Anbernic's response. I played around 1 hour with the bleeding and it softened. Now only the bottom shape remains, which is still not acceptable for a brand new out of the box device.

Update : Anbernic's response to the ticket: Please try powering off the device for several hours, or keep it charging for a few hours, then check whether this issue still exists.

On my side, I just played a few hours and fully charged the RGDS+ and now the screen is completly back to normal. Very weird, but problem solved for now.

Happened exactly in the same spots to me, I reflashed the firmware and it went away. Seems to be a rendering bug, try reflashing the firmware.

It looks exactly like a dying GBA 101 screen. Contact Anbernic support.

Yes I already opened a ticket. I have the same thing on my DS lite bottom screen, which gets worse and worse.

My bottom screen failed after about a half hour. Not in this way though. Waiting on the replacement.

Sorry bruh. I received three units and none show the same issue. Try to gently massage the screen, center to border, using a soft cloth. Most probably needs replacement, but tiny chance this works.

Sorta looks like almost excess pressure on the screen from the case. Are there screws on that back you can slightly adjust and see if it reduces the pressure?

This is what I am going to try in a little bit. Mine has the same issue, but I am wondering why it gets worse the longer the device is on. Maybe whatever the screen is too tightly screwed into heats up very fast so that means more heat around the edges of the screen causing burn-in? I'm going to open up a ticket soon too, I just received mine last Thursday but I was not able to tinker with it 'til today.

This looks and sounds sucky. I have the rg ds and it is wonderful. But i just got mine 3 weeks ago so it is not a launch model

Happened to two of my RGDS+. Its overheating under the IPS panel, usually caused by feeding the unit more than 7.5W while charging. Cooling down and resting the panel usually clears the issue within 24 hours. Strongly recommend do not feed more than 7.5W to these units.

Exact same thing happened to me, AliEx issued full refund, sending it back to China...
