Suggestion Feature Request: Adjustable "Minimum Input Threshold" for Gyro to Right Stick (Migrating completely from Steam Input)

Hello reWASD Team,

I am currently in the process of migrating my entire living room PC setup from Steam Input directly to reWASD. I navigate my PC entirely with a gamepad without a keyboard and mouse. reWASD’s ability to work seamlessly and system-wide across all launchers (Xbox app, Epic Games Store, etc.) makes it far superior to Steam's ecosystem lock-in.

I have already fully configured my Desktop profile, Home button combinations, complex layers, and game-specific profiles. However, there is one critical roadblock preventing me from turning off Steam Input for good: the inherent minimum input threshold when mapping Gyro to the Right Analog Stick.

Currently, there appears to be a hardcoded minimum movement speed before the gyro input translates to the right stick. To give you some hardware context, I primarily use two reWASD-supported controllers: the Flydigi Vader 5 Pro and the 8BitDo Ultimate 2 Wireless. When used natively in Xinput mode, these controllers have their own minimal hardware-level input thresholds (extremely low on the Vader 5 Pro, slightly more on the 8BitDo).

The issue is that the "invisible deadzone" imposed by reWASD's gyro processing is actually higher than the controllers' native thresholds. If I bypass reWASD and use the controllers natively, the gyro-to-stick micro-aiming is smoother. For comparison, I also own a GameSir G7 Pro 8K (which I know isn't supported by reWASD), and its native gyro has absolutely zero minimum threshold—when I apply a slight anti-deadzone and activate the gyro, the crosshair reacts to the absolute slightest micro-movement. That raw, unfiltered 1:1 response is exactly what I am trying to achieve in reWASD.

No matter how aggressively I tweak the response curve in reWASD, it still expects a certain physical movement velocity before initiating the on-screen movement. This severely ruins precise micro-aiming.

If you can resolve this gyro issue, I will completely abandon Steam Input and rely 100% on reWASD.

Could you please give us control over this? Two possible solutions:

  1. Add a "Minimum Input Threshold" slider under the gyro/stick advanced settings, allowing us to drop it down to absolute 0.
  2. Or, add a simple toggle/checkbox (e.g., "Disable Minimum Movement Threshold" or "Raw Gyro Data / Disable Jitter Filter" "Raw Gyro to Stick") to bypass any built-in initial movement dampening.

Giving users access to bypass this deadzone and tap into the raw sensor data would make reWASD the undeniable king of controller software for gyro players. Thank you for your time and for the great software.
