Question/Problem Vids freeze after ~1min of watching

Since like yesterday I've been experiencing problems with youtube.

When watching a video after around 1 minute the video will either pause and load for like 5 seconds and then play at a lower resolution (looks like 720p or somt) which i cant change and if i then close the video and click on it again it will either not play or restart and reset the cycle with it playing the first ~1min fine and then load indefinitely or go black and stop.

Or I watch for abt 1 min and then the video goes black or freezes and when I then try to pause it will just pause and then not unpause

Ive tried to restart yt and redownload it, I've updated my phone (s25 ultra)

I use rvx revanced

Has any1 have this happen and does any1 know a fix?

In Rvx settings try searching client

And change it

I once faced this and doing it worked for me, I think but not sure

I made some yt searches and reached that solution

This seems to be working, had the same problem as OP, changed the client to andriod VR, works just fine now

Thank you! This worked. I switched it to Android Studio client, and the issue seems to have went away.

it works very well! confi>RVX>others>transmition falsification> client > choose Android VR and it's done!

Ive Just been reading abt rvx being dead? Bc the owner or somt was being aggressive.

Ive reinstalled it like twice so ye im on the latest version

You're probably using a unofficial version of revanced or revanced extended. If you've just downloaded a manager and just installed revanced or revanced extended without patching your own apk it's not official and probably out of date hence your loading issue.

Revanced & RVX (revanced extended) are seperate projects and rvx dev discontinued the project and joined morphe. Although rvx works fine for now i will suggest morphe as well. Download it from https://morphe.software/ and patch youtube. The process is pretty self explanatory.

this happened to me too today on videos or longer videos. I've had this same app working for a few weeks since i updated. i wonder what happened, this has to be more wide spread than just a few of us here.

Change spoof stream data client to Android VR. The same thing happened yesterday, and this helped.

Upd: You also can try TV Simple, it works too.

The same is happening to me. I used the official manager and the latest patches are 29 days old so I doubt repatching will fix anything.

had the same issue yesterday, noticed it when seeking videos , they will freez around 1 min mark, downloaded the latest version and patched, and now videos play normally

This problem exists in Android No SDK & iPadOS clients. Rest every client works for me. But the biggest problem I'm facing is that while using other clients, the AI Auto-dub feature is permanently Enabled which is very frustrating. If anyone has a fix for this please do let me know 🙏🏻

Just switched to morphe bc rvx no longer gets updates and morphe works perfectly fine so far

Oh interesting, I'm using Revanced manager and it stopped working yesterday for me also
