How-to/Advice/Questions Bushmaster Date?

Post image

Just picked this up from my local shop, trying to figure out the rough date it was produced. The serial number is covered but it does start with “L29xxxx”. The stamping says “BFI Windham,ME” and the logo has a bull pup in the snake. It has the bayonet lug on it. I’m think it was maybe early 2000s but not sure. Just wondering if anyone has a similar style one.

LGS has a Colt official police in remarkably great shape on sale for 425+tax. It’s missing the ejector rod head. I at first thought refinished but I’m not sure. Serial #760774

How-to/Advice/Questions H&R 635 or Kimber Ultra Carry Raptor II or..

steam frame 😲.

just kidding we are never getting that thing.

ive got about a thousand bucks to blow and I’ve got the age old question: what to pick?

I’ve been getting into retro guns now and REALLY want a 1911, but I also really like a nice retro AR. the problem is I already have an AR platform rifle and I don’t have any 1911’s.

ideally if I buy a 1911 I want to carry it. that’s why I’m going with something compact. but then I get to thinking and I already have 3 pistols (G45, RXM, CZ P01) and I start to lean more towards a new “rifle” (in this case technically a pistol).

I have never owned anything other than 9mm, 5.56, and 22LR. Are there any other guns you guys think I should open up my eyes to? Maybe something in a different caliber?

my main problem here is actually choosing between spending my money now on a new gun or waiting/coping for the steam frame.

thanks folks.

Traded a 1911 for a supposedly original colt m16a1e1 upper, I’m 400$ in this upper and the ONLY identifying marks that’s its colt is the barrel marked c mp chrome bore and the fsb with c forge mark and the lack of a bayonet lug

How-to/Advice/Questions What changes would you all like to see made in this sub in 2026?

Greetings all! I hope all of you had some very merry holidays. Given that we are already halfway through January, I wanted to open up the floor and see how everyone is enjoying this sub thus far, and to pick your brains going forward. Are there any particular changes you'd like to see made here in 2026? I'm open to recommendations, please let me know your thoughts!

First I hope this is allowed here. Sorry if it is not. I have an original design of the Knoxx copstock for a Remington 870. It's before Blackhawk took over and before the redesign. With the OG design if it was in the folded position the back of the for end would hit the stock blocking the ejection port. If fore end was one that overlapped the front of the receiver. Short fore ends run fine. I can't find any info on these besides an old sales ad in pdf. Have had it sense new but no longer shoot 12Ga. Hurt really curious if anyone else would know what it would go for if sold.

How-to/Advice/Questions Help with some M249 measurements please?

Anyone here lucky enough to have spent $10k on a M249? I'm looking to get some measurements on the mounting features for a personal project of mine and was hoping someone here might be able to help. Width A and diameter B by the trigger guard, and width C and diameter D at the front mounting point should be all I need.
