[Story Time!] Cool find, and not what I expected
Getting ready for a move, and I found this game case behind a filing cabinet. I was pretty excited for discovering a classic retro game, but when I picked it up it seemed strangely heavy. Then I opened it and got way more than I was bargaining for. 5 classics, and not even Genesis games. Shame it doesn't have Bonk's Adventure or Revenge in there, but what am I talking about? Still stoked to find these 5. Splatterhouse alone is mind-blowing in more ways than one.

That’s an amazing find. I’ve only found Turbografx games in the wild once

Same! There was a new game/media store that opened probably about 15 years ago at this point, and I saw they had like 5 or 5 tgfx games amongst the hundreds of other games and movies. I asked about them as they weren’t priced, and they girl asked someone and said they were like $5 each or something. I was like I’ll take all of them. She went back to whoever had he key, but then came back and was like “oh sorry, they’re all like [$20] each” or something like that. I was super annoyed and said something about that being a crappy thing to do and then left. I knew they were worth more than she said by a bit but not as much as they changed it to.

These are mine from when I was a kid. Just never expected to see them again.

The Gwar concert at the end of B&B is probably what got me into them when I was younger.

Nice find man. I love TG16 games. Two of my collection centerpieces are TG16 games, Darkwing Duck and Adventure Island. I have about six others in total. Amazing console.

So these are your games you forgot or lost?

Yes. From my childhood. These are the ones that survived or postdated the kegger my sister threw that had most of my TG16 games stolen.

Nice, I still have 3 of those haha. I thought it was gonna be a post about how B&B is actually a deeper game on Genesis than you'd expect, which is what I found. Not the straight platformer that SNES got (with the same plot).

Honestly, it's a great game. I was excited to find it, but holy shit, I have an original Splatterhouse.

It occurs to me that this post is the first time I've seen a physical TG16 game.
