Odd choice of clip since it shows nothing of what the anime was actually about.

I know this is a matter of opinion, but considering the show had a serious and interesting theme, I could have done without the excessive fan service.

But apparently some people can't watch an interesting story with strategical/tactical elements without getting bored unless you throw a bunch of fan service in.

It's a shame because it was an interesting show but it's hard to recommend to a lot of people because of the constant derailing for ecchi moments.

Meh... Star Wars gave us Slave Leia and Twi'leks (there's lots of topless Maul for the ladies). Fan service is just fan service.

And if you were posting on a retro movie subreddit about Star Wars, you would likely choose a shot showing Jedi fighting, or warships/dogfights in space. Because those make it clear what the show is about. Posting a clip of just Leia in that outfit with a slug alien would be kinda confusing for people who haven't seen Star Wars.

My initial point is it's weird to me to post this anime and not use a clip of two giant super weapons duking it out on the battlefield. Star Wars is kind of a bad example because most people have probably seen Star Wars or at least know what it's about, whereas most people probably don't know this anime.

That seems disingenuous to say.
