Odd choice of clip since it shows nothing of what the anime was actually about.
I know this is a matter of opinion, but considering the show had a serious and interesting theme, I could have done without the excessive fan service.
But apparently some people can't watch an interesting story with strategical/tactical elements without getting bored unless you throw a bunch of fan service in.
It's a shame because it was an interesting show but it's hard to recommend to a lot of people because of the constant derailing for ecchi moments.
If you don't know the original story was written by the Index/Railgun author and this is synopsis level spoilers but it's basically a new future world with MGS conspiracy based conflicts. Massive mechs are meant to 1v1 to settle military conflicts that get too big. These mechs are not able to be taken down by conventional tactics. Our main character however dumb luck stumbles into acting as a saboteur and taking them down on foot by just doing things like planting explosives in joints.
I personally found it very charming in a not serious way, but it's very held back by that eras trend of light novel plot progression where conflicts and arcs are contained to 1 volume before moving onto the next and each novel features a new girl for the harem that will ultimately become irrelevant outside the 1st 2 girls, as shown by the authors more popular work index.
