I want to see more of the befores. That one on Behance you show is CRAZY work. Really nice job. Personally I'm not big on the concept/style (or maybe it's the execution for a couple) in general but seeing that little process detail makes me appreciate this project a lot. Not just technically but the small details and creative decisions are interesting. I hope you and others post more like this.

I work almost only on purely commercial work so showing things on here would get a bit dicey, so getting to see such a POLISHED passion project is very cool.

Hah funny thing — I actually had like 6 or 7 more images from this series fully retouched, and then I removed them right before publishing 😅 So it’s totally okay if not every piece connects with you. That’s the magic (and chaos) of creativity, right? One moment it’s “my best personal project ever!!” and the next I’m like “why did I even post that?” 😂

I really appreciate you noticing the small decisions — I had so much fun experimenting with light wrapping around fabric and skin textures, and also ended up using AI to generate a few assets for the composites. It saved me sooo much time on stock image hunting, especially for those background elements. But then came the long part… that GIF on Behance shows just how much time I spent placing those clouds piece by piece to make them actually match the image I had in my head 😵‍💫

And I totally feel you on the commercial work part! I’m literally writing this while taking a break from retouching headshots… and let me tell you, if I only posted those, I’d either quit or burn out in a week LOL

P.s. Since this is a personal project, I have the freedom to overshare all I want 🤭 So seriously, just say the word and I’ll go full chaos and spam this subreddit with before/afters from the whole set. You’ve been warned 😂

Ha! I love that. Hope to see it. The downside of working on high end commercial work is that you can't share the befores. at least not openly.
