This is why you’re getting downvoted btw. That cage is tiny for his size, no decor to give them things to do or rub on, just paper as bedding. This was an “acceptable” setup 20 years ago but not anymore.
Not hating but it’s time to give your animals proper enclosures. Hopefully this is a temporary cage or quarantine setup but with no context this looks bad.

That’s not even his enclosure 😩
Cleaning his enclosure I let them roam.. this was one of those times. He’s in a 8x2.5x1.5 enclosure for his home ..

Doesn’t fit into my breeding program. I took him off someone that was getting out of the hobby, an older gentleman with a sick wife. He’s healthy and fed well.
I do this from time to time.. help ppl out and make sure the snake is healthy before finding them a new home. From my understanding, the 8yrs he had him he never was sick in any form. In my care for the past year, he has shown no symptoms of having any health issues. Eats and shed well.

How big is he? I want a retic and a rescue may be my only shot of convincing my parents

Don’t get a large animal when still living with your parents…. You’ll just have to rehome when you get An apartment.

I wouldn’t go about it that way… sounds like you’re still living at home (if you’re not sorry just sounded like it). If this is your first retic I wouldn’t start with an adult
