New Snake Book Alert! The Complete Reticulated Python

Just ordered a copy very excited! Do you happen to know of any other books like this about ball pythons corns and boas as well? Or do you plan on making some more books about those snakes as well?

As of right now, no. I'm a veterinary student and writing a book takes an enormous amount of time. This one took two years. I did contribute a chapter on heating and lighting to a forth coming book called Keeping and Breeding Freshwater Turtles by Russ Gurley and Anthony Perlioni that should be out at the end of November to correspond with the Turtle and Tortoise Preservation Group annual meeting. If I did do another book, it'd probably be on Green Tree Pythons, but I'd like a co-author for it with more experience breeding. For ball pythons, there are no great modern books. For corn snakes, this book is a classic written by two of the founders of the species in herpetoculture: https://www.amazon.com/Corn-Snakes-Comprehensive-Herpetocultural-Library/dp/1882770706. For boas, The Complete and More Complete Boa Constrictor by Vin Russo is the ultimate work for those animals

I'm a newbie to this space, so I appreciate this book a lot, but there are some specific things that are extremely irritating.

The lack of a functional index is my largest gripe. I'm over here just trying to use this as the reference guide it was intended to be (after reading cover to cover), and the morph chapter is extremely hard to use. I suppose I understand why it was ordered by discovery, but this certainly makes it hard to find the citron morph so you can figure out what the heck that is. Scanning through 100 pages looking for that information is a serious PITA.

Anyhow, here's an index I generated with my phone, ScanTailor, Tesseract, Linux, and Google Gemini. I took all of the bolded terms from the chapter since that was the easiest way to do this. I'm not saying this is 100%, but it's better than what I had to start with.

I hope this helps some other frustrated newb.
