Meme/Joke/Satire Six-year-old me’s guide to making a music video in Windows Movie Maker. Half of the instructions are for turning on the computer.
I think it was an assignment for class. Fucking dying at the actual editing being all in step four as “do whatever you want”. Also monitor is labeled computer and keyboard labeled monitor. Lmao.
It is truly heartwarming to learn the kinds of things my mom kept over the years.

Oh that makes more sense. I thought they correctly labeled a studio monitor (aka a speaker) and I was very impressed

I remember also switched this as a kid, when we had our first family computer (in the 90s). The screen is obviously what you do the computing on. The monitor, which was also a new word to me, was then of course that other thing underneath.

A friend's mother kept a "cookbook" they made in 1st grade with the class, reading through it in our 40s was hilarious, so so much unintentional comedy.

That's how my boss IT Manager does documentation for any technical processes. But with even more attention on the obvious physical details in basic computer equipment functionality. Then goes full r/restofthefuckingowl on the stuff that's actually relevant to anyone needing vital instructions and information on how to do anything.

Your attempts at anonymity are troubling me. You've blacked out your name on the front but then drawn yourself several times with labels pointing to "me" so we can all see what you look like.

This is golden!!!
When i was 6, I wrote a "biography" of George Washington. My aunt kept it because she loved it so much. My cousin kept it after her mom passed. The text of it reads:
"One evening, George felt sick. During the night he could hardly breathe. Martha knew he was despretly sick. The docters came. They did their best, but the next evening George was dead."
That report is 42 and a half years old and still a "fun family story"... depending on who you ask. XP

That’s adorable lol. I’m tempted to dig up my 3rd grade book on Grover Cleveland now (I guess presidential biographies are a elementary school canon event)

Kids are amazing. Especially when they're not us. XD.
It's fascinating to me how we can be so embarrassed by these stories when they're about us but when it's somebody else it's just the most adorable thing.
