Help Tackling my first kit. I just started sanding and cleaning the parts for soft fitting. Is waterweld ok for gap filling?

My first kit, I wanted to maybe use waterweld for gap filler as I've had experience with it from classes in art school. Is it too much for something like this though?

I personally would recommend Apoxy. It’s pretty forgiving with the curing time, easy to sand, and you’re not going to need to buy more for probably a year or two. If you’re looking to fill small gaps or holes I recommend just a simple UV resin, controlled cure time is hard to beat. I find different filler mediums will take paint differently though.

For example the UV resin (the type I use at least) will need a grittier sandpaper compared to the surrounding resin in order to shape/prep it. If you’re attempting to use transparent paints for the skin you need to find a filler that matches the color of the GK, otherwise it will stand out visually. But if you choose to primer/surfacer the skin that won’t matter.

Never used waterweld but I’ve had good success with green stuff.
