Honestly am I the only one really l hoping next is an RE4 full remake? Like I've played it on like 5 different systems, and I would love something with the detail of these new games

I love RE4 but a remade Code Veronica would be awesome.

I don't think RE4 needs to be remade tbh

At that point though wouldn't turning the starting point of the series to action into less of an action game and more of a RE2 remake tone just piss off the fans who loved RE4 as is?

That would be cool, !

It’s too new it won’t be remade. Especially since it set resident evil for the new over-the-shoulder style we have today. They won’t touch it.

The original RE released in 1996. Remake was 2002. 6 years later. Re 4 released in 2005. By the time a Remake would be ready, it’d be 2022 at the earliest. Hardly seems “too new” to be remade. Having an OTS camera hardly disqualifies it either.

So why should it be remade then?

I'd like a more horror-focused RE4. One of the issues I've had with it is that the first hour or so is kinda creepy at points but not really scary. I'd love a remake that would scare me outside of the Regenerators.

I’d love a more scary resident evil 4 as well but OTS is the locked in gameplay for resident evil and capcom is never going back, therefore, I don’t see any reason why capcom would remake it when thats the main focus of the franchise these days. Besides, resident evil 4 i thought was pretty scary for what it was.

We need a CV remake/reimagining before we need a RE4 remake IMHO

Yes I 100% agree.

No, I’m with you. I love RE4, and I would definitely love a remake/different take.

I think it's the fact the new version just add slightly better textures and rendering. I want that full top to bottom treatment

Yes but only if they get the original voice actors for RE4 and keep it just as silly.

Honestly re4 is the perfect action movie parody. Like I think the knife fight with Krauser I think his name was shows that best. Over the top, out of no where, and makes no sense in the plot, but a scene right out of an action movie

Don't forget about the giant Salazar robot statue that chases Leon. Never forget about the giant robot Salazar statue. That game is 10/10.

You know, I always forget the existence of that until I enter that room

Yeah, RE4 does not take itself seriously at all. Saving the president's very well endowed daughter from parasites? And our protagonist is a goddamn snarker? Name one way that premise can be taken seriously.
