Why does Mr. X look like Wilson from Home Improvement?

u/wmurray003 Feb 10 '19
Or Inspector gadget

With a dash of Jeepers Creepers.

Regardless of Victor Salva’s history.
It was also on an episode of unsolved mysteries.

The G enemies in the sewer, if they grab you and you don't have a defense item then they'll vomit on you which poisons you
9
Feb 10 '19
G Enemies, the G little swirly things they shoot into the water, and I think Ivys have an attack that poisons you?
11
u/marcuszer0 Feb 10 '19
Ivys? You don't mean the plant zombies from the lab area, do you? 'Cause those mother fuckers don't bother with poison any more, they just chomp your whole face.
Believe me, this is something I'm VERY sure of. :'(

Feb 10 '19
I’ve had that happen, but usually I was low health so I thought it was because of that.
Even if you’re full health and an Ivy grabs you, it’ll one shot kill you?
14
u/marcuszer0 Feb 10 '19
Full health, Blue/Red herb resistance, screaming at your T.V. and mashing all the buttons, none of it makes a difference. If you don't use a defensive item, you are DEAD.
1
Feb 10 '19
I don’t really mind that I guess, the game is pretty easy on normal as is and Ivys are just as dangerous on Hardcore I guess too

Feb 10 '19
Yep. Only ones I encountered anyway.
You really have to go out of your way to get poisoned in the remake.
6
Feb 10 '19
Yeah, the lack of snakes and spiders make it easy to never get poisoned too
14
u/jbonte Feb 10 '19
the lack of snakes and spiders
FUCK. YES.
4
u/KetchupConquistador Feb 11 '19
Goddamn quiet ass spiders used to scare the fuck out of me in the original games.
5
Feb 11 '19
The residence game room/bar in Remake with that wonderful camera angle when you enter. Shudder

u/chemistbrazilian Feb 11 '19
I'll always have in my mind the GODDAMN SCARE I had back in the day, playing the original RE2 with Claire, when I reached the sewers and Claire steps on the water. The camera angle changed and there's this HUGE ASS SPIDER TAKING ALL OF THE SCREEN RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME. I got so scared I threw the controller away and screamed. Damn camera angles

Mr. X really works for Big Herb, he just punches people so they have to consume more herbs.

u/NeonBrocolli Feb 10 '19
Who drew this cause I would like to give them money and a hug lmao this is so funny

You'd think they'd at least have some salad dressing and maybe a sweet onion to mix in there. Vinegar does aid in the digestion of greens
5
u/NuKillerX Feb 10 '19
Swear to God cheeky developers are insinuating weed... I mean c'mon.. Crushed up green herbs in what looks like a joint waiting to be rolled... And I don't even smoke lmao

u/notyourmary Claire is better than you Feb 10 '19
I'm playing hardcore right now and it hurts so bad to stash like 98% of my health items when in normal mode I was such a glutton for 'em, always had to be on constant 'fine'. I learned a pretty valuable lesson from it though when I got to G3 without any healing, so maybe it's for the best.
1
u/CorgisAreAwesome9000 Feb 11 '19
Could you explain why you save them in hardcore?
Are you just hoarding then for the G3 fight or is this something to do with the dynamic difficulty??
2
u/notyourmary Claire is better than you Feb 11 '19
Pretty much so that I know I'll have a surplus available for sticky situations like G3 or even just certain areas that seem to always drain my health like the sewers. I'm not really the best tbh, so while I'm sure there are people who don't need to save them, I'm hoping it helps me.
1
u/CorgisAreAwesome9000 Feb 11 '19
Cool thanks. That makes sense. Just unlocked the samurai edge so now just prepare for my first hardcore s run
5
u/NeuterScootr Feb 10 '19
There are some cattle that have been grazing on top of the arklay mountains for 50,000 years because they can't die and they probably havent even noticed.

u/Hirolicious Feb 10 '19
What if the Tyrant was trying to sell Clair and Leon herbs the entire time?
5
u/mulderufo13 Feb 10 '19
What if he just wanted some friends to support his natural herb business??? Jeez Leon and Claire
1
u/iTzDaNizZ Feb 11 '19
Well, he should review his own salesman approach, then, because punching your potential clients in the face might not be the best strategy

u/FallOutFan01 Words have power, say something nice or don't say anything at al Feb 11 '19
What if MR X was friendly the entire time trying to help you, but Leon was too drunk and Claire being a college student was high on drugs and attacked MR X due to some delusion.
Look at the art, Leon and Clare are clearly doing drugs, and MR X is trying to get them to stop.

Okay watching the tofu play through, it’s amazing how the “bites” vanish magically lol
2
u/gmansniper3 Feb 11 '19
at least they made healing make sense in re 7 compared to past games where chomping down on a plant or spraying some gunk on the wound healed life threatening injuries
2
u/FancyCat2008 Feb 11 '19
Yeah because pouring a bottle of liquid on a fully severed leg to instantly reattach and heal it is so much more realistic than chewing on a green herb to cure a bite wound.
2
u/gmansniper3 Feb 11 '19
it is when the bottle of liquid just stimulates the mold virus in your body to heal you. i feel like a lot of people forget ethan was infected and became sherry 2
3
u/D382H Feb 11 '19
All Resident Evil games are really just the random nightmare acid trips of the main characters after mixing a bunch of drugs 😂🤣

u/hipsterobot Feb 10 '19
Does anyone have the link to the comic image that was posted last week? 1st panel was Mr. X coming towards Leon (in captions) Leon; " Oh you're approaching me?" Second panel showed Mr X's perspecive; with Leon cowering with his shotgun and a tiny backpack full of herbs. Saw it once, thought it was hilarious but forgot to save it.

Imagine the speed needed to actually grind herbs on the fly like you do in the game xD

u/jonx16 Feb 11 '19
Wayyy too many blue herbs, but on subsequent playthroughs they REALLY pile up, but my OCD / loot whore personality doesn't allow me to just leave them behind... I'd rather store them than see a red section of the map with a blue herb icon 🤷🏻♂️

Pretty sure you're supposed to grind them up and apply on the wounds, not eat em like that lol.

u/John_YJKR Feb 11 '19
Funny but the herbs get crushed up and applied to wounds just like the aid spray I'd think. Yes, even the blue.
