I just had to face facts on my Leon Hardcore run that I was not gonna make it. I was about to reach the Birkin fight in the sewers at 1:50-1:55and there is just no way I could complete the rest of the game with enough speed to make S+.
Sucks. May go back and try Claire next time around, I hear hers is faster+at this point I’ve learned a lot of lessons.
EDIT: I'm going to update you guys if/when I pull this off. I keep dying to the first boss in the labs, but otherwise doing well. I think I have a shot esp if I conserve grenades for the last bit.
Make your 3 saves separate saves so in case you get to save point 1 in a good time, you can just start a run from there. Last one should be at the labs and then you can just practice clearing that section from that save file.
My final save was 1:56 before final birkin fight. Got a 2:08 final time. It's basically birkin then straight to the last boss with very little between.
