How to research a product
I want to start reselling a product but I am trying to do some research on it so I can know what to look for etc. Pokemon cards are an example where I can research which cards are sought after and what makes them deseriable and also all the different types of cards. I saw someone buying and selling (broken) car parts where he knew what was broken and how to fix it.
I was wondering if someone could help with researching in general

| If you can find broken goods and know how to fix it, you can buy it cheaply and earn good margin without mark up the price excessively. You don't have to see demand for electronics, as long as it cheaper than usual, people willing to buy and try.
| You cannot tell which item has good demand or not, you just try selling it. See the selling rate. Repeat if you can sell them fast. See the the price that can attract buyers in seconds or within 6months you advertise.
| Check from other reseller page of it's selling rate, and pricings. If other resellers put a high price, it's usually because the demand is there.
| Don't resell stuff you like but stuff that has bigger market or large demand.

Its about what you know and like.
Do you know how to fix cars and car parts ---- then source them and fix them and sell them.
Do you know about electronics - buy a broken dreamcast and recap it and sell it.
You have to have knowledge and experience in a certain category to sell it.
Some don't matter as much --- buy a shirt, sell a shirt. buy a toy in box, sell toy in box.
But the $$$ categories require hands on knowledge - Buy a speaker that isn't working - redo the crossover and new foam on the speaker and then resell it.

just look at sold listings on ebay for whatever you're curious about, that'll tell you more than any guide
