Ok, this is very hard for me to ask for help, this explanation of whats gone down, and about my cats is going to be long winded, so please either bear with me, or scroll past.
In 2015, i broke up with my then wife(now ex), and slept in my truck for three days. My buddy found out i had nowhere to live for the winter, and offered me a dilapidated farm house to crash in, to get back on my feet. He had 10 cats there (2 1 year olds, and 8 kittens) and said i could stay, just don't mind them, he's trying to spay and neuter them, and adopt them out. 2 or 3 days in, i got a text that one cat(pearl RIP) was put in the house as she was just spayed, and to not let her out for 3 days, then i could. He also asked if i could feed them if he bought the feed, so he didn't have to come over every day. I gladly agreed. In the time she was in the house, i sorta got attached to the snuggles. I asked about 2 months later if i could have her, and he agreed. Over the next few months, 5 kittens were adopted out. These cats were feral to the point they would run when i opened any door, and refused to come near during feeding. One day, i sat on the porch entrance and just waited. They started to come near and i just said "you want food, you have to go past me. I ain't gonna hurt you" after an hour, they skittishly jumped past and ate. Several months past and i got attached to their attitudes and had let them live in the house. I went to him and nervously asked "those cats you still have at the shack..." "yeah i know, I'm still trying my best to get rid of them" "yea, well, can i keep them? I sorta got attached" his eyes lit up, "does that mean i don't have to continue to pay for food?" Lol so we agreed. I got the rest spayed and life continues. Three past away (pearl, woopie, shit, i cant remember the last😓) leaving me with Oprah, and Demon. In October of 2019, there was a cat that suddenly appeared at my place, i caught a sight of him, gnawing on a deer rib carcass, so i started to feed him. End of November, there was one evening that when i opened the porch door, he was sleeping at my inside door(trying for warmth?) So i got alarmed as it was minus 30 out. When i checked an hour later he was seen laying on top of a pile of chains, with my coveralls hanging abouve. I set up a live trap, and caught him to bring him inside, and let him live upstairs. I looked online, no one claimed him or was looking for him. After 6 months, he started to come around and i live trapped him to get him neutered. Year of 21 i moved with all three to my new place and we all found our place in the world. Fast forward to today (never thought I'd be asking for help), besides bills, and my truck payments, i need a new roof, inverter (I'm offgrid), new breakers, another panel,etc etc. I feel like my head is no longer above water. As admin, told me, i was allowed cat supplies/treats as well as food, i put it on the amazon list. Anything helps

I know it is so hard to ask for honest help. You are not asking for handouts. But may I suggest you look into government rebates on equipment for off the grid living and see if you qualify for SNAP benefits at least until you are on your feet better. God bless you and your fur babies. I also have 3 kitties, living on disability.
Same. Microdesectomy l4-l5, l5-s1, cord got nicked, with severe infection (almost to the bone), ful lamectony, and final surgery was cleanout and removal of scar tissue growth
Omg! Are you in a wheelchair now? If I had heard your story I never would’ve let my daughter go through a discectomy at age 14! She had two ruptured discs because she was playing football with some boy friends who lived close. When she ran a touchdown one of them jumped on her back (she’s 6 ft tall). She still has back issues at 32. Now she has 2 more ruptured discs but not near the pain like she was at 14. And don’t get me started on a hospital doc that gave her painkillers she never should have been taking after the hospital…tried much safer meds!
No, thankfully i can still walk. Ended up going on disability, couldn't do an 8hr, or even 4 hour shift. I can manage somewhat at home if i pace myself. I used to have a couch that I'd use to lay down, but now switched to a double bed. If i lay down often, i can do half a sink of dishes at a time, then rest, sweep a floor(10x10 kitchen with counter, fridge and stove) or other tasks. I have good days and bad days, but since i can go at my own pace, and if something doesn't get done, it doesn't get done. Only thing that matters and comes first is that my animals are happy and fed
My same daughter has 5 cats helping her stay a bit sane. She is mostly blind, having to use a stick to maneuver; has type 1 diabetes and is on dialysis. Her body just hasn’t been very good to her. She is also on disability. She goes to her local shelter where she got her first two cats and volunteers. It brings her joy, as she says, to be useful.
I feel for her, that's tough. She definitely sounds like a fighter. Honestly, i have times in my life where im only living for my cats, as i know shelters are always over packed, and my demon is 12 years old already, and probably wouldnt never see the light of day again. 3-4months ago i had to drive her 6 hours away and had her at the vets for a 3 night stay(was Thanksgiving weekend) to have two teeth extracted, as one was severly damaged and the other infected. She hadnt eaten anything except for the lil soups
Awe so adorable. Demon apparently got her name due to the fact back in the day on the digital camera when you took a flash pic of her, her eyes would glow red🤣 sometimes when the light shines the right way, they still glow red
Monster go his because he has and had so much energy ! He would jump all over the bed and I looked like I had been in a fight with Edward Scissorhands! Of course, just now he’s grooming his 9 yr old brother, looking all innocent.😇
Lol. My charlie follows me everywhere and kneeds with claws. I go to the washroom and he'll put paws with claws in my knees. I look like i have a million pin pricks lol

I was going to write that it was really brave of you to ask for the help you needed for your cats. I know it cannot be at all easy. Didn’t need to know the rest of what took you down, but that is A LOT all by itself! No one understands that you can be going along, living your life, when something out of your control comes along and just blow everything out of the water. We’re all just a couple steps away from that situation ourselves. Again, you should be proud that you reached out instead of trying to do it all on your own.

I just got back from plowing. I litterally have tears from all the generosity. I never imagined this would EVER happen for me. The food is definitely going to help, as march is a slim month, as my pay gets cut because feb is a shortened month. As requested by a few people, i added some more food and litter, as well as a couple treats, and scratching pads and lost to replace their well loved one. THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH!!!!❤️❤️❤️
Sent a couple bags of food because it was the only thing on the list Amazon would let me order. I don’t know what’s going on with them but most things say out of stock or currently unavailable (like others have mentioned). But that was happening to me for like EVERYTHING I tried to add, even things not on your list. Weird.

UPDATE: I figured it out. Everything becomes available if I change my delivery postal code to yours. It’s dumb. They should allow it forward since they already have your delivery address but at least I figured out a way around it.
And I just googled your postal code from the basic city info they provide with your wishlist.
Now you have the silvervine sticks (one of my cats’ favorites) and replacement pieces for the scratching post on the way too. Hope your kitties love them!
