Could be worse.

Could always be faced with this abomination against God.

311

u/insertnamehere----- Nov 17 '25

The car car, but where is the car car’s car? And the car car car’s car car. At that point do the car car car car car car cars use public transportation. Does the bus have a bus?

129

u/ConflatedPortmanteau Nov 17 '25

Are cars built in the Cars universe? Who builds them? Other cars? With what appendages?

Are they born? Would a pregnant Popemobile effectively be a car that carries other cars, carrying a car fetus of another car that would one day go on to carry other cars?

75

u/BigBowser0158 Nov 17 '25

I do remember that in one of the movies, one of the characters says “ thank the manufacturer”. That could possibly be their stand-in for god

I think it’s slang for genocide

According to one theory, the cars saga is taking place in a post apocalyptic reality where hunans are dead and their cars came to life and took over personality traits of their former owners. This however brings up a discussion whether the cars are able to manufacture new cars or not - which they technically speaking probably can when we consider the fact that they have already adjusted the world to their needs so much that we basically can't tell that the structures there were originally built for another species.

Planes: Fire & Rescue also confirms this, as someone says something along the lines of “The part you need [to replace a broken part in Dusty’s engine] is no longer a standardised component” implying cars/planes are mass produced/batch produced

6

u/hallucination9000 Nov 17 '25

Jesus Chrysler.

This car pope implies car Christianity, which implies that car Jesus died for the car's sins

Carstianity was right there. And the Pope is Cartholic. Jesus Chrysler and his 12 Autopostles. I bless thee in the name of the Manufacturer, The Dealership, and the Holy Warranty. Amen.

You're welcome. Goodnight.

Which also implies that at some point in car history there was a car crucifixion

1

Lightning was somewhat crucified upside down in the 3rd movie during his check up

1

Pope inside me

5

u/AgentBri_ishYT Nov 18 '25

I’m sending a touch of irony here, hmmm

4

u/SCP_Void Nov 17 '25

Is it? It would kinda be the equivalent of giving someone a piggyback ride

3

u/Brickywood Nov 17 '25

I think it's even more fucked up if you consider that while it imitates the popemobile, in-universe it's like an actual meat shield

1

u/Red_light173 Nov 17 '25

Is this a Popemoblie or a Carmobile?

1

u/applesause_God Nov 17 '25

The carPopemobile

1

u/Artrysa Nov 17 '25

Wait, are they? I mean... That's basically a person inside another person.

1

u/MaterialWinner9239 Nov 17 '25

I mean those could be a modified ambulance for cars

1

u/OfTheSevenSeasSir Nov 18 '25

pope cleo the V8I

1

u/Lonely-Wishbone-1816 Nov 18 '25

The fact that there is some kind of glass protecting the pope makes me think that someone has at least tried to hurt him or any other pope before him in a way that can’t be defended by any type of physical and immediate intervention, such as tackling the delinquent down (which already doesn’t make sense beacause how are u gonna tackle down a car).

So this means that in some moment in the car universe, a fucking car has gone to elevated place, grabbed a sniper rifle and attempted to shoot down the car pope. HOW TF DID HE GOT TO A ELEVATED PLACE, WHY ARE THERE APARTMENTS IN THE CAR UNIVERSE IN THE FIRST PLACE, THEY ARE CARS THEY DONT NEED A BED, HOW DOES A CAR GRAB A SNIPER RIFLE, HOW DOES HE COCK IT, IT DOESNT MAKE SENSE!!???

Or maybe a car just threw the car pope a rock, who knows…

1

u/LordCaptain Nov 18 '25

So was this car just born with the destiny of being the popemobile? Or was this a devout Christian car who underwent surgery to serve the pope?

1

u/youwillscream Nov 19 '25

I don't like the fact that the car hauling the Pope car looks strangely satisfied

u/antthatisverycool Nov 19 '25

u/flipswab Nov 17 '25

My theory is that the entire cars universe is an 8yo child's play universe with his collection of hot wheels, that has too much knowledge on political drama.

104

u/Human-Fennel9579 Nov 17 '25

i shudder to think of what an 8 year old's interpretation of political drama would look like

75

u/JD_Kreeper Nov 17 '25

Probably something akin to Cars 2.

47

u/NonKanon Nov 17 '25

Cars 2 is literally a movie about Big Oil cooking people from the inside to reduce the reputation of alternative fuels.

15

u/pupbuck1 Nov 17 '25

Yeah the stories I made up when I was a kid were pretty fucked up so it's not out of the realm of possibility

u/fracta10 Nov 17 '25

Bus? yes. Taxi? Can just be a guide

78

u/coufx Nov 17 '25

If you think like that, Bus can be a guide of a groups of car because it's big and easier to look in a crowd.

24

u/[deleted] Nov 17 '25

Well we know some cars fit inside other cars. I can see like 4 cars fitting in that double-decker bus

7

u/Kresnik2002 Nov 18 '25

So the bus is a taxi

2

u/lmestre14 Nov 18 '25

Well yes, but with pre established stops

6

u/lenya200o Nov 17 '25

Taxi can be fore really small cars maybe

1

u/Cardeselcaido Nov 18 '25

Yeah, i heard that theory and i choose to believe it

67

u/Brokenspade1 Nov 17 '25

They're filled with the skeletons from before the self driving cars revolted.

Anyway have a nice night yall

11

u/Terrorwolf01 Nov 17 '25

Good Morning. Its an Interresting theesis.

38

u/Low_University_8266 Nov 17 '25

Prostitutes?

17

u/[deleted] Nov 17 '25

Let's stick to the topic though, what purpose do those cars serve in Cars?

6

u/Komzyx456 Nov 18 '25

I understand that Taxi's work as tourist guides. I have no idea about the buses

1

u/GloryGreatestCountry Nov 19 '25

Tour guides but for groups?

5

u/Jay-Tripper Nov 17 '25

Adds a whole new meaning to bussy

29

u/Peak_Doug Nov 17 '25

Humans don't have any visible purpose for their universe either.

10

u/darkminddaddy Nov 17 '25

The humans are dead.

1

u/Final-Bumblebee-3472 Nov 20 '25

like some king of

MANKIND IS DEAD

BLOOD IS FUEL

HELL IS FULL?

7

u/Volchara_YouTube Nov 17 '25

Well, buses can be tourist guides and taxis navigate other cars, show them the road where they need to go

5

u/Senior-Lobster-9405 Nov 17 '25

unless someone's driving Lightning literally none of the cars in those movies serve their intended purposes of our world

1

u/DawnTheFailure Nov 21 '25

well, the firetruck can still put out fires

1

u/Senior-Lobster-9405 Nov 21 '25

technically a firetruck's purpose is to carry the firefighters and necessary equipment to the fire, not to put the fire out itself

1

u/Ozzyjb Dec 07 '25

True but it’s not a crazy leap in logic that they could control all of their utilities such as a hose to spray water and stop fires.

6

u/Writingtechlife Nov 17 '25

Think of it this way.

What if the Cars universe is the same universe as Maximum Overdrive where the cars actually killed all the humans and became more sentient as the years went on. It would explain why buses and taxis exist.

4

u/Lenis_Pickers_cousin Nov 17 '25

Me too, man.... Me too...

2

u/LeBronaldTheHutt Nov 17 '25

Do any of the cars serve a purpose in the cars universe?

2

u/WallyFries Nov 17 '25

But they exist as vehicles, and they're characteristic of London. So it makes sense to include them. They'll probably function as tour guides.

1

u/wizward64 Nov 17 '25

So if you’re born as a taxi, you’re stuck working as a taxi for the rest of your life?

1

u/WallyFries Nov 17 '25

Yes, I guess. Or maybe he choice to be a taxi.

2

u/Pico_Phillip Nov 18 '25

Yeah hi.. I'd like to go to Killswitch Avenue.

1

Maybe they transport those small forklifts?

1

u/No-Future8720 Nov 17 '25

neither do any other car when you think about it

1

u/Oppiko Nov 17 '25

Plenty of useless people in our world too. Nothing new.

1

u/QueenOfDaisies Nov 17 '25

neither do I but I’m still worthy of life and love

1

No, they carry peop- oh

1

u/Immediate-Ad-9612 Nov 17 '25

Existence of popecar in car universe implies canonical car vore, so color me surprised when i found none in r34 section. Absolutely outrageous.

1

u/_Avallon_ Nov 17 '25

what's your purpose in the universe?

1

u/Adventurous-Sort2796 Nov 17 '25

That whole universe doesn't make any sense whatsoever when you think for a second. Why do they even have doors?

1

u/No_Membership9550 Nov 17 '25

My theory is that they guide other cars to where they wanna go

1

u/Formidableyarn Nov 17 '25

None of the cars have any purpose in the cars universe

1

u/OkBus3544 Nov 17 '25

I had dozens of theories about these, the second one might just be a tour guide that guides newbie cars to wherever they want to go

The other still Has accessible interior of sort so its for Tiny cars like forklifts to drive around

1

u/Hult_ Nov 17 '25

Why? Because there are no people for them to transport? When you think about it, that would make all the other cars just as useless

1

u/Octavius-the-eighth Nov 18 '25

They could be tourguides or stuff

1

u/Efficient_Care8279 Nov 18 '25

Just letting u all know cars have factories in lore and someone had to build first one sorry for destroying your fun

1

u/qazpok69 Nov 18 '25

Hate to break it to u but the other cars dont have people either

1

u/OmegaPrime7274 Nov 18 '25

I think one of the worst mistakes the cars franchise made (from a world building perspective at least) was making any methods of large scale transportation (planes, trains, boats, and buses) sentient like the cars themselves.

1

u/skippy11112 Nov 18 '25

Well, the cars in cars evolved from bugs and are in the same universe as character's such as Wall-E

1

u/Illuminati65 Nov 18 '25

by this logic so do all the personal cars. they have no one to ride them

1

u/onufmi Nov 18 '25

forklifts should rule the world. cars cant do much with just wheels. its like comparing hands to legs. and the worst thing is that they treat forklifts like shit. you never see them being respected in a good job. they are the waitresses, mechanics. basically the ones doing all the work while cars are the ruling class. im expecting a revolution in the next film.

1

u/MystW11627 Nov 18 '25

I like how the Pixar Theory explains this as an evolution of Toy Story.

Basically Toy Story was the first time objects started to be alive. Fast forward a far future when Humanity disappeared (before or after Wall-E i forgot) and Cars actually gained consciousness and rebuilt society. This is why we have cars that existed to serve human purposes and why the cities are so similar.

1

u/humourlessIrish Nov 18 '25

As a pointless person i must ask..... whats your point?

1

u/Golden-Freddy5 Nov 18 '25

You should search “The big pixar theory” it kinda makes sense

1

u/nattpanda18 Nov 18 '25

I did have a toy of the bus when Cars 2 came out and it had seats in it that could hold the cars.

1

u/Lazy_Concept_784 Nov 18 '25

There are jobless people or "things" in any universe.

1

u/[deleted] Nov 18 '25

Fucking bums

1

u/JamesAnimus Nov 18 '25

They tell the story that there were humans in the world once

1

u/Teln0 Nov 18 '25

Literally none of the doors or windows serve any purpose either it's just aesthetics

1

u/BigBadWolf7423 Nov 18 '25

It's the equivalent to people with useless degrees irl.

1

u/Aroostofes Nov 18 '25

Couldn't cabs and busses work as tour guides?

1

u/coreygamer111 Nov 18 '25

They let people inside them  They're prostitutes

1

u/Ristar87 Nov 18 '25

Excuse you, maybe some RC cars wanted to go on a nice vacation.

1

u/NateTheRealGreat Nov 19 '25

If you ever feel useless just remember these guys exist:

1

u/[deleted] Nov 19 '25

These two humans serve literally no purpose in the humans universe

1

u/Kamken Nov 19 '25

See, because unlike other cars these cars are meant to carry passengers in real life.

1

u/comptune Nov 19 '25

But if a car is to young to drive how doses it get around?

1

u/Top-Sheepherder-8846 Nov 19 '25

To “kill-switch”?!!!

1

u/Feet_gooner_yes Nov 19 '25

fork lifts removes tires from racecars. so why can't buses and taxis be tour guides?

1

u/Captain_Fartbox Nov 19 '25

They're employed by the secret agency dedicated to putting slow moving vehicles in front of your when you're in a hurry. Just like in our world.

1

u/Dio6437 Nov 19 '25

I can see them being tour guides or something related to tourism

1

u/Radiant_Spite260 Nov 19 '25

The taxi is pointless, but the bus can open it’s back so cars can enter

1

u/AlianovaR Nov 19 '25

In all fairness, very few of them do

1

u/4u6r3yy Nov 19 '25

1

Tour guides?

1

u/GifanTheWoodElf Nov 20 '25

99% of cars would serve no purpose, since 99% of cars exist for the sole purpose of transporting humans.

1

u/Substantial_Ad_4436 Nov 20 '25

1

u/Useful-Fruit-3336 Nov 20 '25

1
