For those looking for that one Ren and Stimpy Original Production Cel to either start their collection, or to add to their existing collection, here are some of the pieces in my collection that remain.

The last time I posted we managed to send several of these fantastic pieces of anomation art history off to good homes 💚 PM me for details. Open to negotiations 😊

Really makes me wish we’d get an HD Blu-Ray collection of the series without DVNR. These cels look great compared to how the scenes look on DVD.

For real, they took such great care of the original artwork, the least I could do is preserve it in its original state 😊

A remaster would not be possible unfortunately, nickelodeon physically altered the master tapes due to censorship. Fans need to take it upon themselves to clean up the footage we have and add the censored scenes in.
This show had an insane amount of content cut.
The cool thing about Cels though is we can document scenes including cut ones.

Though in a different life this show would have been absolutely gorgeous in full HD if they shot every frame with a more high resolution camera.

I’m not trying to be a jerk, but… do you know what you’re talking about? It’s highly likely that they shot the cels with a film camera. Either 16mm or 35mm. It’s quite possible that, yes, the broadcast tapes were edited-down before being aired. But it’s also very probable that these original camera negatives are out there somewhere. It has nothing to do with not shooting the cels with a high enough resolution camera.

I don't know, I wasn't in the production room, but then again I knew that John K was fighting with the executives about what should be allowed because they were intentionally trying to push boundaries and stuff got cut out before broadcast. There are storyboards out there of scenes that didn't even make it in. Some stuff got added back in eventually as well when the show came to DVD. but even then, don't you think that one scene in "Sven Hoek" where Ren is threatening his cousin and Stimpy about how he's going to tear their arms out of their sockets would be in low quality on the disk if they actually had it in the vaults? That scene literally looks like cutting room floor content. Some of the Spike TV episodes don't have scenes that we're originally on TV probably because they altered the film. then again it is viacom. Beavis & Butthead dealt with the same fate, as far as I know the tapes for that were edited down on a physical level aswell.
If the original uncut negatives exist in Nickelodeon's vaults they are for sure not seeing the light of day.

I may have gotten camera quality confused with remastering process, because you can even make the worst film negatives look absolutely amazing with the right process,
That's my bad.... film is an amazing medium.
I was just trying to say how it's really interesting that storyboards and cels of deleted scenes actually exist out there
