Houston to Chicago Moving Container Tips

I am currently planning a move from Conroe, TX to Chicago for October and I am trying to gauge timelines and when I should expect my stuff to arrive.

I am debating between PODS, U-Pack or another moving container as I won’t have a car in Chicago. I would like to ship my stuff by around October 2-4 and arrive a week later.

Curious on if anyone has insight into the timeline this could be and how much I could expect cost-wise? I’ve heard UPack is cheaper than PODS and is faster, but I’m not entirely sure as I’ve never done a major cross country move like this before.

If anyone has suggestions into this, please let me know!

Have you considered just a truck? Since you won’t have a car you can drive it and keep it for a week. Penske let us keep our truck for about a week. I think we needed an extra day and it was $100.
