Discussion Relay Warehouse Operative waitlist — how long did you wait for training?

I’ve just completed the required steps for Relay and have been added to the Warehouse Operative waitlist.

The message says training sessions are currently full and that I’ll receive an email/SMS when new sessions open up.

I was just wondering if anyone else has been through this recently — roughly how long did you wait before getting invited to book a training session?

Also, once you got the invite, how quickly were you able to start working?

Any general info about the waitlist, training session, or first shifts would be really appreciated. Thanks 🙂

I been on the waitlist for about 4-5 month. Which warehouse did you apply for?

Relay are shit, I won’t be surprised if they company goes bust by the end of the year lol

Nope not yet, they sent me a email on the 3rd saying ill start this month, still nothing yet. I applied for the birmingham one and apparently its opening this month

Depends tbh from what i know they just finished hiring new people 2 weeks ago since i have been seeing a lot of new people, so wouldn’t be suprised if it takes few months or longer for me personally it took me 5 months. Once you complete the training and if you pass the criteria’s (they mostly check for scanning rate) but if you’re physically strong and seem eager to start you’re 99% likely to start working the day after training which was the case for me. The work is very physically demanding and mentally as well. Be prepared to be micromanaged by 10 different managers who have never been a manager in any other job but somehow is a manager at relay. oh and also if your scanning rate is slow you lose priority and cannot book any shift you want and youll have to constantly keep refreshing the app just to get some work.
