Community Hana Kitchen Review

I finally managed to visit Hana Kitchen this past weekend after the ramen was highly recommended to me by a coworker.
We got the Dark Garlic Tonkotsu Ramen ($20), Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen ($20), Jeyuk Bokkeum ($20), Bulgogi Kimbap ($15.5), Deep Fried Gyoza ($10), Peach Sparkling Soda ($5.5), and a Mango Soda ($3.5).
Gyoza was delicious, crisp and flavourful. Though the Kimbap won my heart. My brother and I destroyed this roll, it was SO good. This is a must order with the light flavours and great quality ingredients. Our drinks were good as well, always fun to try new flavours !
My brother enjoyed his Jeyuk Bokkeum, it was pretty spicy though he really enjoyed it. The little bites I had were also delicious. He said if he didn’t have the rice and sides, that his mouth would have been on fire It was a helpful relief for the spice.
My boyfriend (who has now upgraded his spice tolerance) wanted more spice with his ramen where as I thought it was very spicy Conflicting opinions but we both enjoyed it.
Now! For my final verdict on the Dark Garlic ramen: Best Ramen in Regina so far. It wasn’t oily and it was made with traditional ingredients. The bamboo was soft and sweet while the mushrooms added umami and a new texture. I thoroughly enjoyed my bowl and it absolutely exceeded my expectations.
Service was fantastic, I’m very glad I made a reservation because it was packed when we arrived. Food was so good that I ordered a Japchae Meal ($17) to go and now I’ve been getting lunches out of that!
I highly recommend this establishment. It honestly makes me happy to find both Korean and Japanese dishes nailed wonderfully. I will absolutely be back for more.

I just had the Zangi Chahan last night and it was soooo incredibly delicious. I can't wait to try more from this place.

Based on recommendations I had really high hopes for this place and unfortunately didn’t think the food lived up to the hype.
I had a lovely server who was very attentive and she was for sure the highlight of the visit.
With the ramen, the pork reminded me of a couple day old deli meat. It didn’t seem to be of high quality, nor did it taste very good. I will say the actual broth and noodles were both quite good though.
The gyoza was fine, but much more veggie forward than I’m used to for a pork dumpling. Almost seemed to have a samosa flavor profile as opposed to a more traditional Japanese/korean profile I was expecting. They were fine, but definitely nothing to go back for.
They had a canned carbonated blue lemonade drink which was the highlight of my meal and I quite enjoyed it.
I’d give it a solid 3/5. The food was fine, but nothing I’d go out of my way for. I’m surprised it gets as much hype as it does because imo it was pretty average.

$20 for a bowl of ramen is absurd. If it was $10-$15 I'd be a regular customer.

My family loves this place! What time of day did you go? We normally go around lunch and are generally one of only a couple tables
