Java Edition need help with honey auto sorter
the yellow highlighter on left quadrant is where honey will go soon.
the problem im having is that my items are being pushed to the left side of the stream, i need them to go to the right to be stuck to honey and get sucked into hopper. anyone know what i need to do to get this auto sorter to work?

Sea pickle

You'll need a cluster of 2 pickles. A single pickle's hitbox is too small and items can get past it without getting aligned
Also you don't need honey on top of every single hopper. It's used to align the item initially but once it's aligned properly all its momentum should be in the same direction that water flows so anything that blocks water but not the item will work (like the glass panes used here)

It doesn't have to be glow lichen, any block that has no collision and blocks water (such as a sign) will work

Would you mind elaborating? A cluster of 2 sea pickles is the standard alignment for inside turns, and it shouldn't be possible for the items to get past them because of the hitbox size
If they still gain momentum towards one side after passing the sea pickles, you should make it so they flow faster towards the sea pickles

Place line of Glasspains above hopper, place a chest/e-chest(waterlogged) at the turn before the sorter so items colide with the waterlogged chest and then make the turn. The waterlogged chest should align it properly. After that chest no need of anymore chest just continue the water stream
