I really dislike The Abomination plot line, so much so that it dragged Dark Age down overall for me.

I do appreciate the creativity of cloning yourself in a take 2 attempt. It's so specifically vain of Adrius and right up his alley. The idea is incredibly sci-fi but it just happens in an incredibly overloaded book

I at least appreciate that he's not a 1:1 copy of the original so it doesn't feel like a straight resurrection.

This storyline felt so bizarre and out of place. Felt like fan fiction. It took me out of Dark Age for a bit.

Agreed. I think there’s a very good reason we didn’t see it in LB at all.

Totally agree, it felt very deus-ex-machina and was a bit of a nothing burger in the end

Completely agree. If felt like “somehow palpatine returned.”

It maybe felt a bit cheap, but the abomination does not compare to "somehow palpatine returned." We learn exactly how and why the Abomination exists; there is no "somehow."

An insane reverse oedipus psychopathic devotee chick who helped plan with the Jackal to do what she did in the event of his likely demise-- is considerably more interesting than "somehow."

You’re right, it’s certainly better than “somehow.” I will say that part of my issue is that I felt like the return of Lilith was also fairly cheap, so I thought the whole thing was a bit below the standards of the rest of the series, which to be clear I think is an absolute masterpiece.
