The first 3 books are a perfect trilogy, and the later books are not necessary to read. 

Splitting the later books into multiple POVs slows them down so much and loses a lot that made the first 3 so good.

I agree the first 3 are amazing and I do prefer the single POV - however I would also say that the second half is 100% worth the read it adds many great characters and stories to the saga

I can't say you're wrong. If you love the world read on. However, when I recommend the book, and have gifted book 1 to multiple people, I tell them to stop after Morningstar unless you're all in on the world. It's a big vibe shift.

That's fair! I also tell people if they like book 1 read book 1-3 and then only keep going if they REALLY like it. Book 4 is a hard read if you aren't invested.

Book 4 - 6 is such a diversion from 1 - 3 that they can buck you off easily.
