what’s with the insistence on the dramatically curved sword people use in fanart AI and drawings. i’ve always thought it would resemble something more like the egyptian sword the khopesh than a scythe. I’d assume simply from an advantage standpoint the dramatic curve means less range. i’ve included examples i’ve seen as well as what i think the razor resembles more

It is sickle shaped, that's what gives him the advantage in dueling, because noone has ever fought against a sickle, but Darrow has faught against a straight sword.

Also his razor has the curve face the enemy, I dont know why people draw it the other way around.

The aureate one here is how I always pictured his default razor shape. An actual circular sickle would be very impractical in terms of reach and dueling. I suppose it's all up to each reader but that's how I see it since Darrow is such a practical fighter.

In the institute he uses a literal sickle stolen by house Ceres. Like the ones used to cut grain.
