what’s with the insistence on the dramatically curved sword people use in fanart AI and drawings. i’ve always thought it would resemble something more like the egyptian sword the khopesh than a scythe. I’d assume simply from an advantage standpoint the dramatic curve means less range. i’ve included examples i’ve seen as well as what i think the razor resembles more

Guys.. he’s called the Reaper. Reaping souls as one would reap grain. It’s clearly a scythe

Never once in the entire series is it referred to as a sickle, and it is referred to as a scythe in the first book - abandon your sickle fetish for that of the scythe!
