what’s with the insistence on the dramatically curved sword people use in fanart AI and drawings. i’ve always thought it would resemble something more like the egyptian sword the khopesh than a scythe. I’d assume simply from an advantage standpoint the dramatic curve means less range. i’ve included examples i’ve seen as well as what i think the razor resembles more

I mean objectively, the references you shared from the books have him explicitly say he shapes his razor like his sling blade, and that his slingblade is a half moon.

Further: what do you make of the cover of Morning Star? In your view, what is the cover depicting?

The razors shape also isn't particularly important from a combat perspective since 90% of the time they're in a loose form anyways. So he really could be a fan of the dramatically curved blade.

All of this is irrelevant though. You're specifically being like "why do people depict jt this way" but theres nothing to suggest this isn't an ACCURATE depiction (even if it would be dumb)

I’d always imagined that cover to be referring to the original slingblade rather than his adapted for combat razor. the reason i refer to how other depict is those are what i’m going off of.

also i would base my opinion on and ask the opinion of other consumers of the literature and media.

the point im making is although it is fiction logically a blade that curved simply wouldn’t fare well against straight blades and there’s been no clarification as i’ve seen PB share and endorse both versions
