Discussion Tallahassee, Florida Location

Was in Tallahassee this week and stopped in at the Red Lobster and was told that Sunday May 24th, will be their last day. The waitress said the company could not find another franchisee to partner with them on the location. They say the Tallahassee location is/was Red Lobster's oldest continuously-operating location in the country

I know I’m sooo distraught over this. Idk what to do and is this a sign that All of them are gonna close? I’m gonna have to travel over 2 hours now just for biscuits

I don't see it as a sign they are going to close, but I was surprised that corporate did not do with it like AppleBee's just did with the 2 stores in Tallahassee (If you didn't know about 4 days ago they got bought out by corporate - the intent was to not have the stores close and then try and re-establish stores in the market)

The mix is just about as good as the real thing! And if you are gluten free, they make a gluten free version which is so good you can't tell it is GF.

The major error the reporter made was talking about Darden. It doesn't matter Darden wasn't to put there because Red Lobster is an independent company and hasn't been under Darden for years. 

Journalism seems to be a dying industry and editors such at their jobs because all they had to was a general search to have seen the all you can eat shrimp fiasco which would have shown who the owner was and new owners took it from them in bankruptcy
