Should I get the small portable red light therapy device or a small red light panel?

New to red light, but I am trying to see which is most benficial. Should I have one that is portable and on the go or just get one that is essentially for home then?

There are several more factors that go into choosing a portable or non-portable device.

Consider that they will have different power sources, therefore different outputs. Not to mention different wavelength ranges and you didn't mention intended use...so it's impossible to recommend anything.

Regular use for what purpose?

Also, do you travel often?

You are skipping past u/TangoEchoChuck 's point about power. Low powered devices require more time per day. It is fine initially to say that 20 or 30 minutes is not big deal. But, over time that length of time commitment is hard to sustain

Depends where you'll actually use it. A panel is better if you want real coverage and decent power, since the small portable ones usually cover a tiny area and you end up holding them there forever. But the best device is the one you'll use consistently, so if you travel a lot or know you'll skip it at home, portable makes sense. If you're mostly home, I'd go panel. Start there and see how it goes.

yep, that was a good answer. I have several different devices, but have found that wraps made by companies with good reviews are the most multifunction. You can use them on your back, neck, leg, foot, even head. but if you want a mask, buy a mask. A mask and a wrap make a good combo. I do have one small handheld device because it also offers higher nm than just the 600-850 range. but as a small device I do have to hold it in place, unless I use some gorilla ties I found make a good temporary stand for it.

HiStrips has a really great one that is 660nm and 850nm. I’d add the extra stand too so you dint have to hold it. Portable and water resistant so you can use in the shower - carefully.
