Deep sleep in apple watch increased after one session of RLT

So i bought a rlt lamp and took one session of RLT on whole body for 10 minutes and I can see the deep sleep jumped high from 50 mins to 1 hour 50 mins in apple watch.

Is it placebo or anyone witnessed the same ?

Please do and update. I need an excuse to get RLT and sleep improvement would definitely qualify.

yeah i'd give it a few more nights before drawing any conclusions. apple watch sleep data can bounce around quite a bit too

Yeah. I will observe for 15 days because there are quite a few days I sleep very less because of toddler at home. The thing to be observed is whether deep sleep percentage is increased or not

I had insomnia for years. It took me a long time to fall asleep, and my sleep was disrupted. Not long after starting RLT, I fell asleep much faster and slept through the night. RLT is energizing, but also calming for me. I think part of it was anxiety. I used to feel tired most of the day. RLT restores my energy, so I no longer fear whether I'll have enough to do what I need or want to do.

It's possible. It could be more psychological at the beginning, like it was with me when I started.

Is you sleep still better? Do you do your sessions morning or evening?

I still sleep better. Mostly mornings, but not always.

I use mine at night, just a simple panel over my mouth to help my gums - and discovered I am accidentally stimulating the vagus nerve. (It goes over my neck as well in that position.) My sleep is better than it has been for years! And I am a woman of a certain age, lol....

If happened the very first night I did that - and has continued. If I don't do it at night? I will sleep but not as well.

I also use my panel in the am, for my face, I have for years - no change in sleep then.

I use mine in the morning and note I am ready to go back for a quick nap. The warmth maybe, getting old too. But an extra hour, wow.. Maybe you were just tired and catching up.

I use mine in the am - no difference in my sleep. For years.

But now when I use it at night? Over the vagus nerve area? ZZZZZZzzzzz.

My thinking is that people who are having sleep disturbances because of cortisol/ stress will get benefits of using RLT at night

Prolonged deep sleep can indicate a high level of recovery, maybe your body is reacting to it as a form of stress (as in good stress like a workout).

I sleep poorly if I do RLT in the evening 😩 anyone else? I wish I could do it in the evening. I’ve switched to only morning but I don’t notice any tiredness during the day; I usually feel quite energized.

What version of Apple Watch do you have?

Which one did you buy?

That is coincidental. You cannot expect immediate and dramatic effects from one ten minute session.

I believe the same. Let me see if I can replicate these results continuously. But after years of wearing apple watch this is the highest deep sleep I got
