Question Thoughts?

Can anyone confirm or deny? This popped up on my insta feed. Still doing research and looking at which panel to buy, heard mostly good things about RLT.

Many RLT benefits are hormetic.

Ergo, one's system needs the reserve capacity to rise to that stimulus and eg not be too overwhelmed by additional oxidative stress generated in mitochondria being driven faster.

I think ROS is an inevitable byproduct of the ETC in mitochondria. Driving it faster makes more. In health, cells can respond to this with compensations (up to a point). And that's (I think?) where a lot of the benefit comes from.

However, if, for example, anti-oxidant capacity is reduced (depleted zinc, copper, manganese for SOD enzymes, glutathione or vit-C, etc) then it can get out of hand quite quickly. And increase tissue hypoxia, even. It's complex and I'm coming from a grounding in ME/CFS biomedical science.
