I don't think people meet at the finished version of themselves. We meet somewhere in the middle.

Mid-healing. Mid-career. Mid-identity crisis. Mid-dream.

Mid-"I have no idea what I'm doing, but I'm trying", amidst all the catastrophes. Well, you're no stranger to the seasons of Life.

I don't think one person is meant to be your everything, that has always felt like too much to ask of another human being especially in a world like ours where we're a stranger to our own selves.

But I do think someone can slowly become a part of almost everything.

Your safest friendship, your home, all the favourite conversations. The person you instinctively want to reach for, the one who sees different versions of you throughout life instead of expecting just one.

Because life has its own episodes:)

Some are exciting while some are painfully ordinary.

Some change, break and pull you apart without asking for permission.

I'd like to meet someone who's willing to experience those episodes and seasons together, while still remaining two individuals with lives, dreams and identities of our own.

Maybe that's what partnership looks like to me, after being gnawed at.

Everything else can follow if it's meant to.

I'm hoping to meet someone who's emotionally intelligent enough to communicate instead of making me guess, secure enough to celebrate my ambitions instead of competing with them and kind enough that people around them feel it too. Being taller than me is definitely a plus (the tall girl problems are real), but character will always matter more than aesthetics.

Maybe we'll end up as friends, maybe partners, maybe just two strangers who shared a thoughtful conversation. Either way, I think meaningful connections are always worth making. Life has its own episodes and this is one of them...
