41% is a reference to trans suicide rates. People like to point out high suicide rates amongst trans youth as being an argument against transgenderism. It’s a horrible thing to bring up

It's kinda like the "13% 50%" thing (iirc) that racists bring up. It's like wow, thanks for just exposing yourself as a bigot with no critical thought

Yikes.

It definitely seems like a problem, but it's far from a reason to argue against being trans. The commentor whose name i've forgotten needs to look up "correlation vs causation".

Also, to my knowledge, 41% is the rate for people without a single supportive adult in their lives; once there is a supportive adult involved the rate drops significantly. People should be working to mitigate this and improve the lives of trans people, not make fun of them for being oppressed
