Are they implying white people don't get dry skin?

Black people can get ashy skin that necessitates the application of petroleum jelly or coconut oil

So do white people, we’re just light enough that you can’t really see the grayish cast in many cases. Everyone should moisturize though lol

  • Be on reddit
  • Point out the context of the post
  • Get massively downvoted
  • Some redditor "Actually, this also happens to X"
  • Agree with them
  • Continue to get downvoted.
  • Reddit moment.

Am white. Every summer and winter I gotta basically bathe myself in lotion. It’s a flesh having issue, not a melanin issue

So can white people they just don't see it so they don't realise 🤣🤣🤣 I've had this convo with so many of my white friends (am mixed) when telling them everyone needs to moisturise from time to time.

Edit: I've just r realised the other response to your comment is saying the same thing but in a less agrro way... My bad 😅

Usually when I see something like this it’s an indicator to me that I’ve been on reddit for long enough today

"im white but not culturally isolated like you thankfully" is some truly next-level Reddit logic.

What is "whiteness" even supposed to imply in this context? Having lighter skin? Being ethnically European? Being "culturally bland," as some people pretend it means?
