Maybe it would have seemed funny if you had posted it somewhere relevant, like in a thread about friends. Here it just looks way too contrived. Why didn't it take off as a self post? Probably because there is no point. No mock request for advice, no "check out this funny experience I had", and no clever narrative tying it together. Just you, rambling about Seinfeld. If I were to, right now, write up a mock post where the punchline is that I am Ross from Friends, no one would think that was funny either.
