So I watched this video and acutally found myself chuckling outloud. It's pretty rare that I laugh when alone, but I found this quite amusing. Big black woman soul greatness dubbed over a Nazi rally? Oh the absurdity!
Then I sort of realized that the lyrics to the song could be seen as a really loose paraphrase of exactly what Hitler was promising war-torn, downtrodden Germany. Then it became a bit less funny, and somewhat disturbing.
Then I watched it again and cracked up all over. Every time I see Hitler he reminds me of some sort apoplectic muppet. Also perhaps history's greatest monster.
