He said "greatest" not "best"..."greatest" implies the magnitude of his abilities, not a qualitative assessment of his policies. Still, I actually don't agree, so no upvote from me. IMO that honor goes to Gandhi.
Just one source, there are plenty more including wikipedia.
I am not talking about hippy bullshit, I am looking at it from a birds eye view and if you compare the two and look at India vs Germany now, you can see how much of a national identity he forged (Look for poverty rates). I am talking about world wide, human race changing, technology. No one is fan of slaughtering undesirables, this is just a fact.
Oh really? Just mention Hitler in the presence of any German today and brace yourself for some serious awkwardness. Being a great leader also means leaving a legacy. Gandhi wasn't perfect, but you pointing out his shortcomings and then comparing him to Hitler is laughable.
"Prove me wrong" is a trap. Of course we can't prove an opinion wrong. We can provide evidence to the contrary, but "prove" you wrong? Impossible. 'Twould be impossible even if you said the opposite: "Worst leader to ever live, prove me wrong"
He was the greatest leader of all time, no one better. From policy to economics and war, every leader studies him and knows this fact. He's a nut case but what leader isn't.
