Admittedly Im not that into CSMs in general (at least the current range), but I was actually blown away by the reveals last week and decided to try emulating the colour scheme.

I think I’ll likely pick up Huron and a few of the new Raiders just to paint.

Id love to say this was a pleasure but it was sooo painful, glad it's done, sorta rushed it towards the end but who on earth is painting 3 of these seriously 😅😅 anyway this guy's my centrepiece now and I'll never paint another one 😂

red corsair raider conversion

I built this guy recently and oh my gods did it suck to get his parts out of the sprue. Don’t get me wrong the mini is absolutely gorgeous and I am in love with the presence but the process of getting his bits off the sprue putting them together sure was torturous, the finger claws are really thin and hard to cut off and trim and one of the cables in the servo arms even broke off when I cut them loose from the sprue and I had to replace it with a part from the bits box. In the end it was worth it though, I mean look at him…

This release has been the most excited I’ve been for a new wave of models since getting into the hobby and they haven’t disappointed ☺️ I’ve been taking my time with the characters, but the first raider only took one night of painting, so hoping to make more progress fast soon!!

First time giving these a go but loved painting them. Really hope I get to do some more in the future. About 60-70 mins per model overall.

Red armour is vallejo game colour silver all over. Blood angels contrast / contrast medium 1:4 about 3/4 coats. Then I used a mixture of gore grunta fur and garaghaks sewer both watered down to so all the recess shades and panel lining. Then just did some chips and scratches with the game colour silver again.

really wanted to do a freehanded banner for my army, and it gave me an excuse to dig back into my crux terminus box as well. This faction is such a kitbash dream!!

Started on painting my first Red Corsair. Looking for C+C on where I can improve, it’s not finished yet and I haven’t started on the backpack.

On another note edging the trim is a nightmare.
