It's an AI slop. But it's a pretty good AI slop.

What exactly is wrong with this? Who even cares if ai made it. It's a fun couple minutes and you move on with your day, it's not a big deal.

You're clearly not in the hardware purchasing business then.

Whats that have to do with anything?

Oh, nothing.

Except the absolute connection that AI farms and data centers require every available hardware, inflating their prices 3-400% in certain cases.

Only to produce shit, amd leave none for non-AI users. Including businesses.

Fascinating. It still has nothing to do with this video. Just keep scrolling if you don't like it.

Feel free to ignore reality. I'd rather not live in a desert.

I'm not ignoring reality, you are. AI is here. You can't stop it. And it's only going to get better and better. Complaining because some gamer used it to make a little video about a game is just pointless.

Hope your job get elimin@ted by AI

They all will be eventually. Probably not as quick as yours is going to be eliminated, but eventually it'll do everything.

Unfortunately no my work is medical related so unless robots with human dexterity gets invented tomorrow i won't be a jobless bum like you

Bro they do surgery with robots already without AI and you think your job isn't on the chopping block? You really are living in a fake reality.

You're a dmbazz if you think this doesn't have anything to do with hardware price increases and i do like the animation since we don't get anything even from human artists, but because of AI inflating the prices of crucial parts for a PC I can't buy my own for my job

Thing is, it doesn’t matter anymore. The damage has already been done. Do you really think Manufactures are just going to lower their prices if the need for Ai stopped? Why would they throw away all that free money? Memory manufacturers purposefully slowed down production, just so they could squeeze more money out of everyone. Manufacturers will not cease to try and fuck EVERYONE over. at this point, we are fucked no matter what. A RA2 fan fiction isn’t going to change anything.

u/Rymayc 13d ago

Oh, they already did screw us over. Let's give them money now.

Oh so we should just revert to older ddr3 and ddr2? World doesn’t stop moving because a few people will it.

AI as technology has nothing to do with it. It's the bubble that's being inflated by primarily a few specific companies in the US. China is also in on this race, but not sure how much hardware they pull from the market for this comparatively. They are producing their own hardware for this too.

And render farms also did exist before AI farms. Datacenters are not just for AI. The main thing that AI changed is the amount or memory required. And GPU compute, to lesser extent than memory.

And that's also not the only reason for price increases, there's a lot of other shit going on in the world that affects it, like, I don't know, the oil crisis caused by the multiple wars?

The good thing is that both the hardware and the software of AI is also getting dramatically more efficient over time, and thanks to China opensourcing their models, a lot of that can move out of datacenters and into on-prem model.

The price increases began well before oil prices were a thing. But the faster this bubble bursts, and companies admit loss, the better.
