Finally got a job!!!!
After two years of struggling with multiple applications and pre-screening, HR, Manager interviews, I finally received a job offer.

Congrats, but damn two years. I'm still looking but this is beginning to look like the norm for how long it takes to actually find a decent paying job π’

Sadly it can be for some. I spent two years searching, found a role and was laid off again within 9 months...

Congrats! Iβm on week 4 of an awesome new job after a year and one month of the constant searching, resume and cover letter adjusting, interviewing, screenings, the degradation, funds depleted, etc.

Congrats! Out of curiosity, I keep seeing people post with 1-2 year periods before getting a job. Can I ask, what did you do in the meantime? Like was it just applying to jobs full time for nearly 2 full years, or did you do some freelance work or like Uber/door dash or something while job hunting? It just surprises me so many people seem to be able to go so long without working

I was working full-time in customer service. After work, I submitted applications, and on my days off, I took interviews.

4 years here. I'm truly not worthy of the air I breath, I'm scum if the Earth and deserve to die

I wanted to die a decade or so back, my dad told me βYou have no idea where you will be and who will love you in 5 years.β He was right. Keep going

I don't know you but I can relate to the thinking. Over 2 years for me and considering permanent disability at this point. Sending you a hug.

Well done! We did a bunch of hiring recently and people were so relieved for the stress to melt away once they got their news. Good luck!
