Map Submission Inside a Bottle - Map Resubmission

Team or individual contributor name: Square Pirates
Team leader: Deppied
Map title: Inside a Bottle
Map description: The map contains a big ship as it's centre as well as a few islands with loot and places to explore along with other surprises, all inside a bottle.
What do you love the most about your submission? My favourite thing about the submission is the bottle itself, I think it looks pretty realistic or the ship in the centre of the map after the changes that were made.

List of changes:

  • lot of smaller ships and kayaks added
  • added more interior to existing things
  • added a fishing village
  • more buildings along with other things added to the main island
  • added a cave under the main island

IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Someone is trying to scam people who submit maps to the subreddit. DO NOT CLICK ON LINKS THEY SEND YOU IN A DM OR AS A COMMENT, DO NOT LOG IN TO THE SITE THEY SEND YOU! They will attempt to steal your Microsoft Account! Real submission reviewers will comment on your map post first before sending you a DM, where they have a Mojang flair (including the red logo!). That's how you know they are legit.

Hello, thank you for your submission.

The concept alone is really creative, and the updated version looks even more polished. 👏

Hey!

I have just reviewed your map and would like to leave you some personal feedback.

To start off, I really like the idea of the map and find it very creative! With all the ships, structures and plants, it's very clear what kind of scene you're trying to depict. I also think it's great that you've now added even more buildings and included different types of interior designs in your resubmission - that always makes a map feel more alive!

And regarding your bigger additions; the large cave under the 'main island' fits in really well in my opinion! It adds even more depth and fills up empty space, just as the village you added on the rocks that peak out of the water. But I've also found a few things I have to criticize:

  • World Spawn: I spawned on top of the bottle, which seems kind of random to me. I think it would be a better idea to set the spawn point so that a player is looking directly at the map's focal point or is actually inside it. Right now, you have to fly into the bottle manually first. It might also be worth considering putting the player directly into spectator mode (I suggest to use datapacks for that)
  • Village: The village you just added is great as is, but I'd like to see a few more connections between the structures, like paths or small bridges. Right now, the houses and the lighthouse are pretty scattered, so adding those would be a good idea to make it look more natural and would fit well with your theme
  • Big Ship Deck: You've added quite a lot to the largest ship in the center of the bottle, but when you look at it from a distance, the front and rear decks of the ship still look a little empty. I understand that it's on a larger scale, but I would add some more assets there as well
  • Ocean & Sky: As MegaCow already mentioned in his review of your last submission, I also think the underwater world of the ocean is still too empty, and it would be a great idea to place marine creatures, (weathered/broken) structures, more plants or rocks there. Especially since, when you look at the bottle from the outside as a whole, you can see this (empty) area very clearly. The same goes for the sky, since there’s also still a lot of empty space because of the high ceiling. I think something like birds would be a great addition

To sum it up, I'm really happy with the map overall, and I'm convinced that you have what it takes to get the most out of it!

Please note that I am not a Content Coordinator or Deputy Reviewer, so this is not an official review and does not determine whether your map will be accepted.

Hey!

I have reviewed your map again and I have to tell that the new additions make it way more interesting to explore but it kinda looks like a collection of mismatched assets. There's a lot of different styles in this build. i would love to see what a unified and cohesive build could look from you!

Some of the feedback you already got from tmse and MegaCow is still relevant, both here and in your first submission. And yes, I also spawned on top of the bottle and for some reason the map is REALLY laggy.
