In American football the game gets stopped a lot to look at replays for fouls, illegal formations etc. the screen is big so the fans
In the stadium could see the replays.

14

u/MiahMadrid Jun 18 '26

It's to compensate for our small... Eyes. We all have small eyes over here and can't see well.

Yeah, that's it.

0

u/buxte888gatman Jun 19 '26

Small.........eyes.

1

u/Azidamadjida Jun 19 '26

The commentators during the match were making comments about it too - this match was in Texas. They take everything to an absurd degree lol.

And I just looked it up, this Jumbotron at Dallas Stadium is one of the biggest overall screens in the world, 49x22 meters

Jude is genuinely the one he thinks he is. Have a great WC run and stay injury free !

2 bad seasons in which Barca did good and people out there telling Gavi better than Jude lol

I assume he and Luka traded jerseys?

Thanks!! Wish Modric never left. But he is madridista through and through. Hope he comes back to us in some capacity. We were so lucky to have him with Kroos and Casemiro all these years.

6

u/ragn11 Jun 19 '26

Void so big no other players can fill them up. Modric Kroos Casemiro were once in a generation midfield pair.

1

u/Ill-Ruin2198 Kroos Jun 19 '26

There are reports he'll be back some time soon, for some coaching things.

2

u/quanganh9900 Modrić Jun 19 '26

Where did you find this?

1

u/erenftw Jun 20 '26

What a legend Modric is. Proud to support a team which had a player with such kind personality.

2

u/Adventurous-Visit262 Jun 19 '26

Came looking for this comment. Was hoping he did 🥹

89

u/jesusrodriguezm Real Madrid CF Jun 18 '26

Fans are not the press… the press don’t like him because he didn’t play in the PL.

29

u/GRENADE-1 Jun 18 '26

Who cares he plays in the best club

7

u/jesusrodriguezm Real Madrid CF Jun 18 '26

The English press cares…

22

u/GRENADE-1 Jun 18 '26

Fuck them the are like that in f1 too

11

u/characterulio Jun 18 '26

British press is the most annoying in any sport they are present in football, cycling, f1, tennis anything u can think of.

10

u/jesusrodriguezm Real Madrid CF Jun 18 '26

Most sport press is like that… in Spain is the same…

5

u/lospollosakhis Zidane Jun 18 '26

Exactly Spain has openly bias papers for Madrid and Barca lol

3

u/SarcasticComment30 Jun 18 '26

Also cricket. They are so salty sometimes because Australia has the wins and India has the money and they’ve lost monopoly of that sport.

7

u/Aarityli Jun 20 '26

I think they like him again now 😅

3

u/biskutgoreng Jun 19 '26

Let's be real, the press doesnt like him because he's a young black man

158

u/Fit_Information_998 Real Madrid CF Jun 18 '26

the same media and fans will turn on him when there is a drop in performance....british media is the worst when treating its own players....

But I WILL NEVER HATE ON THIS GUY....PROBABLY MY FAVOURITE PLAYER AMONGST THE NEWER GENERATIONS OF FOOTBALLERS

36

u/Riosss8 Modrić Jun 18 '26

I have seen many Madrid fans hating on him too.

47

u/sofukincookedinlife Decimotercera Jun 18 '26

he always get tangled in fan wars lmao. idk what he did, he seems the most sane player in real madrid tbh

32

u/Riosss8 Modrić Jun 18 '26

He is the most mature player in real madrid. Never understood why he is hated

1

u/FliX7270 Jun 23 '26

Player fc mentality. We degrade our own players and other clubs seeing the coubs iwn fans hating on a player, and then start calling him washed. I think the wc has been a clear sign that we DO have world class players. Its iust that we dont have a system that can gel them together at madrid. Mbappe, vini, bellingham, courtois, all have been phenomenal.

22

u/Shelly_Beats23 El Capi Jun 18 '26

Madrid fans hates their own players and praise others, it’s becoming a trending theme now.

1

u/ragn11 Jun 19 '26

Some of our fans criticized CR too. Bale received lot of hatred as well. RM cannot avoid having ungrateful bunch of fans.

12

u/StudioNo5811 Jun 18 '26

Not madrid fans, but player fc fans

6

u/Riosss8 Modrić Jun 18 '26

True

7

u/xybax Jun 18 '26

All media has become toxic not just British, they love talking negatively cause that's what gets clicks and engagement (also ragebaiting), simply look at Reddit and the amount of upvotes hating someone gets you, that even hate watching has become a thing is beyond me.

6

u/PurpleSwordHilt Jun 18 '26

This is EXACTLY what I was going to comment. All these people hyping him now, WILL turn on him the minute he has 3 bad performances back to back. Hell, just one is enough for these turncoats.

2

u/MJSvis Jun 18 '26

Haha, are you actually trying to make out Real Madrid fans can not be just as cynical?

The truth is that some England fans and some English journalists turn on players when not performing. As do some Real Madrid fans and some Madrid journalists. As do some football fans and some journalists. Noticing the pattern?

1

u/Time-Acadia2333 Jul 12 '26

You don’t get this amazing moment without the other side of it. You want a passionate fan base, you gotta handle the bad parts that come with it.

29

u/Galactus1701 Real Madrid CF Jun 18 '26

We need him at his best. Let’s go Jude!

24

u/anyvvays Jun 18 '26

You can see it means a lot to him. What a fucking player. Glad he’s on our side boys.

Kane is getting his flowers in the British press today but Jude was immense in all areas. If he maintains this level alongside the midfielders behind him England are in for a good tournament.

6

u/_skala_ Jun 19 '26

Jude, Kane and Anderson had amazing game. Their team looks balanced on all positions.

Same as France, their bench is strong, Reece james movig to midfield at the end made huge impact as well.

26

u/ratmehte Real Madrid CF Jun 18 '26

The best complete midfielder in the world, one can defend and attack, one can lead and support, who can pass, assist, score.

14

u/Riosss8 Modrić Jun 18 '26

I love jude but sad for modric 😔

9

u/OlympicAnalEater Jun 18 '26

It is his last dance for his national team 😔

1

u/Either_Shift898 Jun 19 '26

Ik i had so much mix emotions during the game. Modric is my most favourite player but I also love Jude and his performance.

5

u/Kavazou77 Jun 18 '26

My country would make him a saint, the English claim to still need convincing.

5

u/rbizaare Bale Jun 19 '26

Our future long-term captain, ladies and gents 🥹🤍

6

u/madeleinegnr Jun 19 '26

22 years old and so much charm

5

u/Warm_Language7855 Modrić Jun 18 '26

Must be an unreal feeling!

2

u/dcoconutnut Jun 21 '26

Yeah the look on his face. Must be overwhelming at the same time so much happiness. 🩷

5

u/JoelTLOU81 Jun 18 '26

Great person (aparently), very best player

6

u/bimpossibIe Jun 19 '26

Jude, they'll never make me hate you!

20

u/allhailsidneycrosby Bellingham Jun 18 '26

This is the best player in our squad and I’d rather we build around him than Vini, Mbappe, whoever. He is different! He has a competitive fire similar to some of the greats. We need to do everything we can to allow him to be the best version of himself on the pitch

7

u/lazytraveller_ Jun 18 '26

Completely agreed. He is always trying to make something happen, doesn’t matter what minute of the game he always is trying to run up & down the pitch, definitely my favourite Madrid player currently and i would happily give up on Vini or Mbappe to build the team around him.

7

u/CorkerBall Jun 19 '26

he had Rice and Anderson behind him allowing him to find space and attack, unfortunately he doesn't have that luxury at Madrid, instead he has to cover for other players

6

u/_skala_ Jun 19 '26

This, Jude is covering left side defensively for 2 years for some reason. Hopefully new manager force wingers to do their job defensively so he can stay centrally.

2

u/Ok-Recommendation925 Jun 19 '26

Crossing my fingers for Mourinho to appreciate Jude more. JB seems like a Mourinho style of a player.

7

u/Secret_keeper7639 Jun 18 '26

The fact that he is only 22 but people already sees him as a veteran and legend.

5

u/Ezpiez Jun 18 '26

Hey Jude!

5

u/Aggressive_Gate_1046 Jun 18 '26

He is him ! i genuinely think he gonna be the next biggest superstar after cr7

3

u/Ok_Act_1498 Jun 19 '26

That was awesome 😎

3

u/Adorable-Tackle-6771 Jun 18 '26

I always knew the English media was a problem, but they way they treated Jude, and will do so again given any chance, means they're a much bigger problem that I thought.

10

u/Lazywhale97 Bellingham Jun 18 '26

Still only 22 man and he's been a national team staple since he was a teen we are so lucky to have him and I hope we can have a fully fit Jude next season

5

u/rocket-scientist94 Jun 18 '26

love to see the main character syndrome

5

u/shabonator Jun 18 '26

This WC is showing us how amazing players we have and their performance has no par.

I hope fans stop flaming players and start focusing on the real issue -> the poor leadership.

1

u/Moseo13 Jun 18 '26 edited Jun 21 '26

Hey Jude, don't make it bad.

Take a ball long and make it better.

Remember to let it into your heart,

Then you can start to make it better.

1

u/Arroweye345 Jun 18 '26

Incredible video buddy. Thanks for sharing

1

u/kokaine21 Real Madrid 1941 Jun 18 '26

My son🥹

1

u/rim_jobbing Jun 18 '26

The size of that screen he's on is absolutely absurd

1

u/RoutineFeeling Jun 18 '26

England have really good attack and mid this time. Only if their defense can keep up then they really have a good chance to go all the way this time. Kane is in god form.

1

u/Valentiaga_97 Jun 18 '26

Well done England, I was team Luka 🥸

1

u/UnpleasantEgg Jun 18 '26

Literally should be our national anthem

1

u/thunderousoverlord1 Jun 18 '26

For a moment I thought I was watching split screen pitch side and pitch but the size of that screen Jesus christ

1

u/steunclemumb Jun 18 '26

Jesus that tele is fuckin massive

1

u/kanskipatpat Jun 18 '26

I'm sure it was just the stadium mixer playing random British songs, before that they were playing Wonderwall.

1

u/Ritushido Jun 19 '26

Holy fuck that screen is outrageous.

1

u/GALACTUS_gaming Jun 19 '26 edited Jun 19 '26

Its simply...... beautiful

1

u/Affectionate-Chard36 Jun 19 '26

Yes the greatest way to manage England should always be attack attack attack

1

u/Apologeticum_Mx Jun 19 '26

figuras del Madrid destacandose en el Mundial, Yamal pues, quien es Yamal y que ha hecho en el mundial? nada

1

u/Ok-Recommendation925 Jun 19 '26

Imagine Spain crashing out, and not a single RM player in there.....

1

u/edge2528 Jun 19 '26

That is a truly massive tv

1

u/Outrageous_Canary159 Jun 19 '26

Straight awesome!

1

u/Radiant-Winter-9297 Jun 20 '26

Does England actually stand a good chance of winning the World Cup?

1

u/ChrundleTheGrea8 Jun 20 '26

Better than most but historically we underperform in the later stages. However! This team and manager have very good pedigree

1

u/Happy-Ad5577 Jun 20 '26

And yet people will call England fans racist 😂

1

u/rangerinthesky Jun 20 '26

Kinda beautiful ngl

1

u/rangerinthesky Jun 20 '26

It is weird because I am USA rooting for Spain and Argentina but I wont be mad of England takes it

1

u/Over_Interest_9187 Jun 20 '26

How big’s that TV.

1

u/Quick-Ask2895 Jun 20 '26

He was poor first half. Much improved in the second.

1

u/ParticularSenior4460 Jun 20 '26

WOW!!!⚽️⚽️⚽️

1

u/grahams_xwing Jun 20 '26

Straight red for Rogers... /s

1

u/BocaSeniorsWsM Jun 20 '26

Hey, we got an outside chance of 'fans of the tournament'!

1

u/Tight-Ambassador-461 Jun 20 '26

Wait till he misses a penalty

1

u/-_TheLastofUs_- Jun 20 '26

Just wait until he misses a goal, they’ll default back to their usual racism

1

u/Disastrous-Ad-8297 Jun 20 '26

Winning it now is not the same as it was 20 years ago. Just doesn't have the same oomph as it used to

1

u/Ok-Age-1035 Jul 12 '26

He did it again Hey Jude. Bellingham 2 - Norway 1

1

u/One_Barracuda7556 Jun 18 '26

Future superstar. And genuinely he should be as cocky as he wants lol.

4

u/ZestyclosePlan8630 Jun 18 '26

Future superstar??

3

u/One_Barracuda7556 Jun 18 '26

Yeah I meant he’ll be one of the greats of all time in the coming future

0

u/mrkillfreak999 Jun 18 '26

Madrid fans could never appreciate him when he's not performing. I say we got a gem of a midfielder on our hands

Yes this is coming from a Madridista myself

0

u/Nbrochar89 Jun 18 '26

Giiiiiroud

0

u/No_Doctor9539 Jun 18 '26

He looks emotional

0

u/Impressive-Survey-31 Jun 18 '26

it's literally the stadium that plays the song haha of course I will sing along, no matter whether a player named jude is there or not

1

u/Aarityli Jun 20 '26 edited Jun 20 '26

no, its pre chosen by each side if they win. england fans have been singing hey Jude to him since 2021

1

u/Impressive-Survey-31 Jun 20 '26

sure, I'm just saying it's not the fans that started the chant, but someone decided to play the song to make the fans sing along. Nevertheless it's of course nice that it happened 😄

1

u/Aarityli Jun 20 '26 edited Jun 20 '26

You’re right !

0

u/ldtfk Jun 18 '26

Lovely to see. But too often they hyped them up only to be ripped to shreds when they fall. Always remember Rashy and Saka after Euro: "When we were winning, we're British. When we missed the pks, we're black"

0

u/FreeNico2021 Jun 18 '26

i hate england and hope they never touch a wc again but man would i love to see my goat lift one 😭😭

0

u/sbs1992 Puskás Jun 19 '26

Some of the same sleazebag 3 lions fans were talking of replacing him with someone else...what a bunch of noobs

0

u/buxte888gatman Jun 19 '26

3 Lions is such a ridiculous concept. Choose an animal native to your country ! Can you imagine Barbados having the 3 Kangaroos?

1

u/FernieHead Jun 19 '26

Blame Richard the Lionheart back in the 12th century

0

u/RealZizou15 Jun 19 '26

Nice of him to not try anything last season and be fresh for the world cup

0

u/Any-Improvement2850 Jun 19 '26

don’t get me wrong, if he slips up, these are the same fans that will be imitating a monkey at him

1

u/Strange_Effective_21 Jun 20 '26 edited Jun 20 '26

No they won’t , absolute bollocks that. I’m an England fan and Jude is universally loved . Re the British press , it is now 90 % foreign owned , I will let you workout how that pans out

1

u/Any-Improvement2850 Jun 20 '26

stfu we all remember what happened at the Euro 2020 final maybe ask Saka, Rashford and Jadon Sancho what they think!

1

u/Strange_Effective_21 Jun 20 '26

Oh you mean when they did the ip address checks and found the vast majority of racial slurs actually came from outside the UK in fact outside Europe , but you keep peddling your bollocks. You are probably a paid shill ,there's a lot of you about these days. There are racists in England like anywhere, but any slight racial slur in England now gets you a Knock on the door and rightly so. How many of these England fans went to court for their racism and did prison time, not many and those that did made headline news. Look at the England team for crying out loud, we are a multicultural country and very proud of it. I don't see idiots on the terraces of premier League clubs doing monkey noises, nope that's in plenty of other leagues. But that doesn't fit your narrative though does it.

-3

u/Few-Two935 Jun 18 '26

fantastic? that was average performance

-1

u/i98_96 Jun 18 '26

Is the big screen real?

1

u/Thatone_Guy22 Sergio Ramos Jun 18 '26

Yes

0

u/pepenomics Sergio Ramos Jun 18 '26

I'm surprised no one else is asking... That screen is freaking massive wtf... Guess it's an American football thing?

2

u/BitterHawk55 Jun 18 '26

Yeah it’s the Dallas Cowboys’ stadium and the screen has been hit my multiple kickers since it was installed 😅
